Police Log: Woman Charged for Shoplifting at Hannaford

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Sunday, June 15

At 12:24 a.m., a caller complained of loud music in the area of Cedar Street. 

At 2:48 a.m., a Clark Street resident reported that a man he did not know was banging on his door. Police responded and spoke with the man, who was reportedly looking for his phone he had left in a first-floor apartment.

At 3 a.m., police received a report that a vehicle struck a fence on South Main Street, where a man was potentially sleeping at the wheel. Police responded and found no visible damage to the vehicle. 

At 11:29 a.m., police received a report that two backpack blowers were stolen from TRAC Landscaping while employees were in the area of Prospect Street.

At 12:22 p.m., police responded to Hannaford on Medway Road, where they issued a summons to Mary Lark, 60, of MIlford, for shoplifting by concealing merchandise (second offense) and larceny of less than $250. 

At 5:09 p.m., police received a report of two German Shepherd dogs fighting inside of a house and that two men were reportedly abusing the animals. Milford Animal Control responded. 

At 5:14 p.m., a man was reportedly riding a motorcycle up and down Purdue Drive with no helmet, and also reportedly had children on the back of the bike. The driver was gone on arrival, police said.
