Police Log: Winter Parking Ban Violators, Tractor-Trailers Blocking, Obscuring Traffic

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Dec. 5

4:00 p.m.: Police responded to a two-car crash on Cape Road at Green Street. A woman complained of neck pain. She was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

7:17 p.m.: A caller at Shadowbrook Lane asked to speak to an officer about two men he thought were trespassing.

7:46 p.m.: A man asked to speak to an officer about harassment.

9:03 p.m.: A 22-year-old woman who was intoxicated and disoriented was on Main Street. She was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

Friday, Dec. 6

1:04 a.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and asked to speak to an officer about a restraining order for her ex boyfriend. He then entered the lobby, too. Police filed a report.

3:06 a.m.: An officer ticketed two cars on Paula Road for violating the winter parking ban.

3:22 a.m.: Police ticketed a car on Stanford Circle for violating the winter parking ban.

3:32 a.m.: An officer ticketed three cars on Bowdoin Drive for violating the winter parking ban.

3:57 a.m.: Two cars were ticketed on Westley Court for violating the winter parking ban.

4:00 a.m.: A vehicle on Rolling Green Drive was ticketed for violating the winter parking ban.

6:33 a.m.: Several callers reported two tractor-trailer drivers were yelling at each other on Haven at Purchase streets, and blocking traffic. Police responded. One was stuck, and the other was directing it out. No one was arguing, police said.

7:10 a.m.: Police received a complaint that the two trucks were blocking a school bus.

7:30 a.m.: An iPod was taken from a car on Woodridge Road. A caller asked police to log the information.

10:38 a.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters with a GPS she found on Annie J. Circle. Police returned it to the owner, who had reported it stolen this week.

11:14 a.m.: A caller reported traffic was backing up from Woodland Elementary School on to Congress Street. Police determined it was a half-day, so more parents were picking up children.

12:24 p.m.: A caller said a tractor-trailer truck was blocking the line of sight on Congress at Pine streets. Police responded but found no violation.

1:22 p.m.: A caller said a woman and a man, possibly a mother and son, were arguing for the past hour outside Advance Auto Parts. Police responded.
