Police Log: Water Line Break on Exchange Street, Man Going Through Trash

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, July 15

4:13 p.m.: A caller said a tan vehicle was operating erratically on Cedar Street, before turning into Plains Park. Police could not locate the vehicle.

5:49 p.m.: Several people called police to report water was coming up through the road on Exchange Street. An officer confirmed the same, and notified the Milford Water Company. Three barriers were erected and the water shut off, as the line was repaired.

7:57 p.m.: A caller reported her boyfriend and daughter got into an argument earlier in the day, and the boyfriend was coming to the home to pick up his vehicle. She wanted police to respond to keep the peace.

8:23 p.m.: A woman said her front door had been kicked in and she asked about obtaining a restraining order.

8:28 p.m.: A caller said paint was all over the road on Prospect Street, in front of Milford Regional Medical Center. An officer responded and found the paint was dry. Massachusetts Highway was contacted and said they would send out a crew.

8:38 p.m.: A caller on Cedar Street said a dog had been struck by a car. The dog did not have life-threatening injuries so an officer provided a number for the Tufts emergency veterinarian.

9:42 p.m.: A 22-year-old woman had an anxiety attack at Dunkin Donuts on Main Street and was passing in and out of consciousness. She was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center by ambulance.

10:52 p.m.: Five to 10 kids were seen pool hopping at Casey Memorial Pool. Officers spoke to them.

Tuesday, July 16

12:18 a.m.: Two men were reported to be going in between cars on Cherry Street. Several officers responded.

12:19 a.m.: An officer was checking out two vehicles parked in the lot near Fino Field.

5:18 a.m.: A caller on Forest Street said a man was going through people's trash. Police could not locate him.

8:17 a.m.: A two-car crash was reported on West Street at Dutcher Street. Firefighters responded after getting a report of a possible injury and fuel in the road.

8:26 a.m.: A three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle was reported on Dilla Street. One person was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

8:32 a.m.: A man on Colonial Road said a person was cutting things in his yard.

9:08 a.m.: A caller on Medway Road said several cars were running red lights at the Medway Road and Birch Street intersection, and at the intersection with Beaver Street.

11:53 a.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and reported he was being threatened.

2:20 p.m.: A caller said a Honda had been parked all day in front of Spallone and Son Menswear. The driver had left in another vehicle for the beach that morning. Police ticketed the car.
