Police Log: Vehicles Broken Into on Silver Hill Road, Sunset Drive

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Wednesday, July 23

At 1:28 a.m., Milford police responded to Tedeschi on Main Street on a report that a female was out of control at the business. The woman was reported walking towards the Milford Fire Department; police subsequently located the woman, a Worcester resident, and placed her into protective custody.

At 8:14 a.m., a man reported that a vehicle struck his own in the parking lot of Storage Pros on Fortune Boulevard. The individual subsequently chose to address the matter with the storage company, according to reports.

At 8:41 a.m., police received a report from a local woman who claimed that the tires on her vehicle were slashed while parked on Capitol Road. Police subsequently received a report from the woman's neighbor, who said the woman was pounding on his door and accusing him of slashing the tires. Police responded to speak with both parties.

At 8:59 a.m., a caller reported that a female had been throwing bread to birds at Vernon Grove Cemetery, and requested an officer to respond to the area.

At 11:55 a.m., police received a report of an erratic driver on Dilla Street. A be-on-the-lookout alert was issued; police were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 12:56 p.m., police received a report of a two-car accident in the area of TD BankNorth on East Main Street involving a gray Murano and a gray Toyota Camry.

At 3:03 p.m, police received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked outside of a home on Purdue Drive. The vehicle reportedly drove away after the initial call.

At 3:05 p.m., a caller reported a white older-model 4Runner was driving all over the road along Cedar Street.

At 3:08 p.m., police responded to a report of a two-car accident on Harris Avenue. No injuries were reported.

At 4:19 p.m., a resident reported that her vehicle was broken into on Silver Hill Road.

At 5:45 p.m., a man reported that his vehicle was broken into on Sunset Drive; a GPS unit and a camera were both stolen.

At 6:41 p.m., police and fire crews responded to a three-car accident on Medway Road. Officers issued a summons to Paula Jean Karas for driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with a suspended registration and a tire tread depth violation.

At 6:58 p.m., police received a report that a vehicle was ransacked overnight on Sunset Drive. Nothing valuable was taken from within.

At 9:07 p.m., police received a report of an accident in the area of Highland Street and Princeton Drive. No injuries were reported.

At 10:24 p.m., police received a report from a resident of Janock Road that someone had rung his doorbell and left drug paraphernalia on his doorstep. The resident was advised not to touch the items.
