Police Log: Vehicle Break-ins on Pond Street, Men in Bed Bath and Beyond Dumpster

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Sept. 2

6:43 p.m.: A man on Court Street reported someone had stolen his father's flag from his yard.

8:26 p.m.: A caller on Pheasant Circle reported a group of young males was smoking marijuana behind a building. Police could not find the youths.

Tuesday Sept. 3

7:18 a.m.: A caller said a truck lost a large tool box on Cedar Street, and it had fallen into the middle of the road. He stopped to pick it up but it was causing a hazard.

7:23 a.m.: A caller on Pond Street reported her car had been broken into.

8:31 a.m.: A caller on Camp Street said a red Toyota pickup truck was driving erratically, tailgating and passing vehicles on a double yellow line. The truck was heading toward Hopkinton, so police contacted that department.

8:50 a.m.: A caller on Pond Street said his vehicle was parked on the street and it had been broken into. Items taken included a watch, a GPS and a wallet with cash. And now the door won't lock, he reported. Police responded.

10:08 a.m.: A caller reported a man was calling her nonstop and violating the restraining order she had against him. Police are seeking a summons to charge Christopher Donald, 25, of 10 Rosemary Dr., Randolph, with five counts of violating an abuse prevention order.

10:44 a.m.: A caller on a bike said a green Toyota Corolla had almost hit him while he was riding on Main at Water Streets. The car headed toward the hospital.

11:23 a.m.: A student was having difficulty breathing at Middle School East and was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

12:14 p.m.: A caller reported an erratic driver on Whitewood Road. The caller requested extra patrols between 8:15 and 8:45 a.m.

1:13 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Pearl Street, police were seeking a summons to charge Kerstin M. Fontaine, 24, of 92 S. Main St., Apt. A, Milford, with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

1:32 p.m.: A 22-year-old at Milford District Court, in the back by the cells, was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center after she felt dizzy and disoriented.

2:47 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported in the Mobil parking lot on Medway Road. A woman who was 9 months pregnant was involved. She was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

3:44 p.m.: A caller at Friendly's asked police to check on the well-being of an elderly  woman in a blue Ford behind the building. The woman was sleeping and disoriented when the caller woke her up. Police checked and the woman was OK.

3:56 p.m.: A caller told police two men were going through the Dumpster at Bed, Bath & Beyond. She had no description. Police responded and spoke to them.

5:41 p.m.: A wooden box fell at Fino Field, exposing live wires. Braza and Mancini were called and showed up.

7:30 p.m.: A man reported he had found an iPod Touch on the bike path near Benjamin Moore Paints. An officer retrieved the item.

8:33 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Claflin Street, police arrested William M. Call, 50, of 18 Parliament Dr., Franklin, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and having no inspection sticker.

8:36 p.m.: An officer spoke to another man who walked in to police headquarters. Police arrested Joseph A. Bartolomeo, 24, of 16 Anthony RD., Hopedale, on a warrant.

9:02 p.m.: A woman reported her daughter was "acting up."

10:01 p.m.: A caller on Carven Road reported a large rock had been thrown through his window.

Wednesday, Sept. 4

12:21 a.m.: A caller reported a noise complaint on South Bow Street.

4:34 a.m.: A woman walked in and reported her tires had been slashed on East Main Street.

6:28 a.m.: A caller on Forest at Grove streets said a woman was going through trash. Police spoke to the woman.

6:44 a.m.: A crash was reported on Cedar Street at I-495. Two cars were involved and both had air bag deployments. One of the drivers was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

7:25 a.m.: A caller on Depot Street said one of the windows on her house appeared to have been shot with a BB gun.
