Police Log: Unattended Child, Employee at Kmart to be Charged in Theft

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Dec. 22

6:02 p.m.: A caller said a 6-year-old girl was walking down East Main Street by herself. She did not know where her house was. Police responded. The child was reunited with her parents.

6:52 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle had rolled over on Cedar Street at I-495. The operator said he blacked out following the collision.

7:10 p.m.: A caller reported her car was damaged while she was shopping at Bed, Bath & Beyond.

7:56 p.m.: An officer pulled over a vehicle on East Main Street. Police arrested Maria Mercedes Tacuri-Mishirumbay, 45, of 20 Water St., Apt. 2, Milford, on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, motor vehicle operator refusing to identify himself/herself, arrestee furnishing a false name and a warrant.

Monday, Dec. 23

5:43 a.m.: Police received several calls about a car crash on Congress at Exchange streets. One person refused treatment at the scene.

6:07 a.m.: A caller reported broken glass and car parts were all over the parking lot by the Dumpsters on Colonial Road. She asked officers to check to see if vehicles had been broken into. Police responded and found that someone had tried to dump furniture in the Dumpster, and some glass fell off and broke.

6:33 a.m.: A caller said her husband heard a big bang on Chapin Street. He went outside and found the interior lights were on in his truck. Police found no signs of tampering. The vehicles were locked.

8:21 a.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on East Main and Cedar streets, involving a woman with four children in car seats. Police are seeking a summons to charge Felipa Castro, 32, of 105 Winthrop, Framingham, with failure to stop or yield and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

5:07 p.m.: A caller reported vandalism at Salon Tashique. She said a large truck damaged the parking lot. 

7:45 p.m.: A caller reported a disturbance on Mark Drive. She said one of her neighbor's had been yelling and slamming doors. 

10:49 p.m.: A caller reported a Jeep Wrangler was blocking the road on Colonial Road, and a woman with a small dog got out of the vehicle and began to walk away. Police responded. Police are seeking a summons to charge Michelle L. Pirie, 42, of 22 Colonial RD., Apt. 9, Milford, with OUI liquor, failure to drive in the right lane, and leaving the scene of property damage.

Tuesday, Dec. 24

1:26 p.m.: A woman walked in and said she ordered and paid for an item at Wal-Mart, and has yet to receive the item. Wal-Mart was requesting a police report.

2:48 p.m.: An animal rescue agency asked police for assistance with removing an animal from a home.

2:53 p.m.: A caller said he was threatened outside Peter's Market, and asked to speak to an officer.

4:03 p.m.: A caller reported a hit and run at Quick Mart on South Main Street.

7:51 p.m.: Police responded to Kmart, where a caller said an employee was in custody. Police are seeking a summons to charge a 16-year-old with larceny over $250.

11:37 p.m.: A caller said his side window was broken on Highland Street, and gifts and a wallet were stolen from the vehicle.
