Police Log: Toddler Reported Alone, Stop Sign Vandalism

Tuesday, Oct. 23
6:36 p.m.: A caller reported he heard a party going on on East Main Street, at a house that is supposed to be boarded up. Police checked it out and found no party.
7:52 p.m.: A caller on Penny Lane reported an 18-month-old was left alone in an apartment.

9:45 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Central Street, near police were seeking a summons to charge Ashley Cardy, 24, of 51 Congress St., Milford, with failure to stop or yield and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

1:42 a.m.: An officer reported a sign and a stop sign on Sumner Street at Granite Street were spray-painted.
6:43 a.m.: A woman reported her friend was driving with a suspended license, and she feels he is not fit to drive due to mental illnesses. Police could not locate him.
8:14 a.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on Beaver Street at East Main Street. Airbags went off in the cars. The Highway Department came and swept the street.
11:28 a.m.: Milford firefighters were investigating an odor of gas at Grade One Financial on Main Street.
11:41 a.m.: A woman reported her 7-year-old and 4-year-old relatives had reported "the mother is possibly abusing" them. Police were informed and were investigating.
11:49 a.m.: A woman on West Pine Street wanted to speak to an officer about things possibly stolen from a vehicle.
1:32 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Highland Street, police arested Conceicao A. Silva, 33, of 8 Senate Rd., Apt. 11, Milford, on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
1:42 p.m.: A woman reported she was pulling in to the Shaw's supermarket lot on Prospect Street when a tractor-trailer was pulling out, and it forced her off the road and into a curb, and she popped a tire.
