Police Log: Suspicious Package, People

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 17

5:48 p.m.: A caller reported suspicious activity, saying that while he was at a man came in and asked him if he was from the area. When the caller said 'No,' the man asked if he knew of any liquor stores in the area. The caller again told him no. The caller thought this might be suspicious.

6:18 p.m.: A woman called, saying another woman had dropped off a package for her husband, and she didn't know what was in the package, and was afraid to open it.

6:24 p.m.: Police received several calls about a two-car crash near Hickey's Liquors on East Main Street. Police are seeking a summons to charge Kenneth Eisenbraun, 61, of 62 Pond St., Apt. 2, Ashland, on charges of failure to stop or yield, leaving the scene of property damage and having no inspection sticker.

8:36 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle was "all over the road" on East Main at Cedar streets. An officer followed the car, and did not see any erratic operation.

Tuesday, Dec. 18

4:18 to 4:29 a.m.: Police issued two tickets to cars violating the winter parking ban.

8:36 a.m.: A caller reported her vehicle had been rifled through on Bodio Circle, but nothing was taken. Only trash was thrown around.

9:22 a.m.: A caller at an unemployment office reported a man had just said he was going to stick a gun in his mouth and harm himself. This related to problems with payments. Police responded and the man was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

11:38 a.m.: A caller on Ferguson Drive reported several cars were broken into during the night.

2:07 p.m.: A caller reported male youths are coming by Salon Tashique every few days and banging on the windows.

4:24 p.m.: A caller asked for a well-being check on a woman, saying her son is afraid to go home because she might be intoxicated. Police checked, and the woman was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.
