Police Log: Stolen Scrap Metal, Bakery Employee Threatened

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, July 25

4:41 p.m.: A caller from Milford Auto Mall reported a man was walking up and down West Street, harassing him at his business. The man was taking photos and video. Police found no crime had occurred.

5:12 p.m.: A caller reported a bag of surgical devices was stolen from a medical office on West Street.

6:32 p.m.: A man asked to speak to an officer about clothing that was removed from a spot behind Morin's Photo Studio. The officer served the man a "no trespass" order for the property.

7:08 p.m.: A caller reported her work van had been broken into on Main Street.

7:15 p.m.: A man who works for MacDonald Plumbing and Heating reported scrap metal was taken from his vehicle. Police are seeking a summons to charge Derrick A. Rosenberger, 22, of 34 Inman St., Hopedale, with larceny under $250.

7:58 p.m.: A caller said she saw a vehicle run through a sidewalk crossing in front of Dunkin Donuts on Main Street, when people were ready to cross. She asked for a log entry.

11:01 p.m.: A man asked police to come to his house on Purchase Street and help keep the peace while he tells his mother-in-law to leave. He feels there is going to be an issue, he told dispatchers.

Friday, July 26

12:34 a.m.: A 12-year-old called 911, very upset, and said she was afraid for her friend and did not want her parents to know she was calling. Police spoke to the child who called, and her parents.

1:02 a.m.: A caller reported an open door at a home where the people were on vacation. There was a vehicle in the driveway. Police responded and man said he was house sitting.

1:29 a.m.: The emergency room staff at Milford Regional Medical Center asked police to speak to a person causing a problem. Police responded.

1:37 a.m.: A caller at CVS on South Main Street said a man was in the store who previously was told by an officer never to come back. When the employee told him to leave, he proceeded to call her vulgar names. The man was gone when police arrived.

2:30 a.m.: A company repossessed a Ford Fusion on Shadowbrook Lane.

8:58 a.m.: A caller reported four of her tires were flattened and a patio tent had been vandalized, on Depot Street.

9:35 a.m.: An elderly woman said she received a call from a man claiming to be her grandson, and said he was stuck in New York. She thought it was odd because the man had all of her grandson's information. She called her son, to check on her grandson's whereabouts, and her son told her the grandson was not in New York. An officer spoke to the woman.

12:14 p.m.: Framingham Police asked Milford Police to help them with taking a man into custody who was wanted for a reported stabbing in that town. The man was observed on South Main Street walking a pit bull dog. Police arrested Jermaine Lamont White, 33, of 11 Hollis St., Apt. 2, Milford, on a warrant. He was transferred to the custody of Framingham Police. A Milford officer responded to a woman's house so she could take custody of the dog.

12:49 p.m.: Firefighters responded to Greenleaf Terrace for a report of a building alarm. It was an apartment with burned food on the stove.

3:19 p.m.: A man at Zen Bakery reported a woman had threatened his employee. He said she possibly had a bat in her car and told him to come out to her car. The man refused and called police instead.

3:53 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and asked to speak to an officer about getting some items back from a woman. He said he had been dating her for a little over a month. She took his computer as she had "suspicions." The man didn't want to pursue any criminal complaint, but wanted the issue logged in case of any further incidents.
