Police Log: Stolen Mail, Complaint about Intoxicated People

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Oct. 11

5:14 p.m.: Police served a warrant on Draper Park. Officers arrested Tiffany Jaree Taylor, 31, of 3 Draper Park, Milford, on the warrant.

5:38 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and turned in a wallet he had found. It had no ID. But it did have an AAA card. Police contacted AAA and left a message for its member.

5:38 p.m.: A woman on Ivy Lane said a man keeps calling her and saying he wants to "invest her money." The caller is unsure of his number or company. She provided police with his name. Police told her to call back if he calls again.

8:53 p.m.: A caller reported two men and a woman were intoxicated and causing a disturbance outside Kaplansky Insurance. One man had a white baseball hat and was bald. The woman had brown hair in a ponytail. Police checked and found they were OK.

Friday, Oct. 12

1:07 a.m.: An officer spoke to a driver who had driven up on the sidewalk at Tedeschi.

8:08 a.m.: An officer was enforcing traffic outside Brookside Elementary School. He gave several verbal warnings.

9:45 a.m.: A caller reported getting threatening calls from a woman, asking him for money. He said he would stop into the station to speak to an officer.

11:53 a.m.: A woman stepped in to police headquarters to report someone had been stealing her mail.

12:50 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Congress Street, police were seeking a summons to charge Marcio Goncalves Graca, 35, of 50 Beach St., Milford, with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop or yield.

2:02 p.m.: Officers responded to Kohl's Department Store, where a loss prevention employee said a shoplifter had left. He was wearing a grey sweatshirt, and had on light colored jeans. He ran in the direction of Kmart. Police checked the area but could not find him. Another officer would do a follow up.

3:21 p.m.: A man who parked on Main at North Bow streets said someone had broken into his car and stole a gym bag and check book.
