Police Log: Stolen Lobsters and Noisy Neighbors

These are selected items from the Milford police log of April 3-4.

The latest edition of the police log includes several noise complaints, a report of a child left unattended, and of a shoplifter who made off with six live lobsters and several pounds of cod and haddock.

Sunday, April 3

12:42 p.m.: A caller on Sunnyside Lane told police a child was riding a go-kart in the street, with no helmet.

1:56p.m. - 2:21 p.m.: Police issued several parking citations to drivers outside supermarket and .

2:26 p.m.: Police received a complaint that an 18-year-old was kicked out of her home. When she and her boyfriend returned to the house to retrieve her belongings “her mother ripped the license plates off the car.”

3:39 p.m.: A minor accident was reported in the parking lot involving a Toyota Avalon, a Honda Accord and a Pontiac. No injuries were involved.

4:13 p.m.: Police received a report that an 18-year-old had assaulted the caller, and her younger sister. Police arrested Dedryk Lugo, 18, of 59 Water St., Milford and charged him with domestic assault and battery.

6:29 p.m.: A caller asked for help from police after her boyfriend, who was cleaning his car, got the keys sucked into a vacuum cleaner outside . Police notified the management, which called an employee.

6:44 p.m.: A low hanging wire was reported in the area of Cedar Street at the 495 southbound ramp.

7:17 p.m.: The town tree warden reported that two trees were taken down outside an address on Congress Street, which were owned by the town and shouldn’t have been removed.

7:49 p.m.: A woman who lives on the East Street Extension walked into police headquarters to report a rock was thrown at the back window of her vehicle overnight.

8:30 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop, police arrested Jarrod A. Rosario, 26, of 25 Walker Avenue Ext., Apt. 13, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and speeding in violation of a special regulation.

9:52 p.m.: A woman on Claflin Street filed a noise complaint. She said her neighbor’s power tools were keeping her family awake.

Monday, April 4

1:10 a.m.: Police received a complaint from a resident of Luby Avenue who said the neighbors were being very loud, keeping her awake.

7:17 a.m.: A report of an erratic driver was received outside . The caller reported the Saturn was headed towards Holliston, and wasn’t “stopping at the pedestrian walks for pedestrians.” A “be on the lookout” was radioed to officers.

8:23 a.m.: A caller from South Terrace told police a female was picking through the trash and walking the streets with a shopping cart.

9:15 a.m.: A person walked into the police station to report a small child, about 3-years-old, is alone out in the street on Franklin Street.  The man told police the same child was out in the street Sunday, wearing only his underwear. Police filed a report and said the child had been reunited with his mother.

9:40 a.m.: A shoplifter allegedly walked out of after taking more than $100 of seafood. Police reported the man took six lobsters, and several pounds of codfish and haddock.
