Police Log: Stolen Flowers, Fireworks

The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, July 7

2:13 p.m.: Firefighters responded to Forest Street, where a neighbor reported an illegal fire in the back yard.

3:29 p.m.: A caller reported a tan Chevrolet Silverado was going up and down the street on Fiske Mill Road, at least six times. Police could not locate the vehicle.

3:40 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Main Street, near . No injuries were reported.

6:31 p.m.: A Jeep was reported to be "all over the road" on Countryside Drive. An officer followed the vehicle, which crossed the double line twice. Following a motor vehicle stop, police arrested Angela Gebelein, 22, of 35 Pond St., Medway, on charges of possession of a Class E drug and marked lanes violation.

6:34 p.m.: A caller told police some boxer-terrier mixes were fighting in the high tension lines area behind Police could not find the animals.

7:36 p.m.: A woman who attempted suicide, reportedly with a knife, was taken to

7:41 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and said on three occasions, someone has stolen silk flower arrangements from his mother's grave at St. Mary's Cemetery. He left before speaking to an officer.

8:08 p.m.: A fireworks complaint was made in the area of Highland Street.

8:56 p.m.: A fireworks violation was reported on Dennis Road.

9:09 p.m.: Fireworks were reported on West Street. An officer determined they were set "on a timer and will be done in about 20 minutes."

9:24 p.m.: Fireworks were reported in the Highland Street area. Police reported all was quiet when they arrived.

9:30 p.m.: Fireworks were reported to be going off in the area of Dennis Road.

9:35 p.m.: Fireworks were reported to be going off on University Drive.

9:41 p.m.: A caller reported one of his neighbors on Luby Avenue was shooting a pellet gun against his fence. An officer said it was a paintball that was "shot against the house."

10:17 p.m.: A woman told police her boyfriend "raised his fist" at her and has a history of violence. Police responded, but no arrest was reported.

11:34 p.m.: Fireworks were reported in the area of Vine Street. Another caller reported fireworks at South Main and Fruit streets.

10:46 p.m.: A woman called from a friend's house and said her son was intoxicated and had made threats toward her. A 37-year-old man was taken into protective custody.

Sunday, July 8

12:27 a.m.: A caller reported a disturbance on North Bow Street. She said a man in shorts and a cropped T-shirt came up to her door, knocked on it, and when she opened it to see who it was, "he entered the apartment, and turned around and left."

1:12 a.m.: A caller reported a gathering, making noise, in front of a home on Water Street near

2:14 a.m.: A well-being check was requested for a man walking near Burger King. The man, described as elderly, was wearing red pajamas and had no shoes on. He was walking down Route 109 toward An officer reported a man was giving him a ride to Milford Regional Medical Center.

2:34 a.m.: A caller reported a party on Water Street, and cars were blocking his driveway. Police restored peace.

3:16 a.m.: A caller on Water Street asked for an officer to remove an unwanted person. The man is "loud and does not want to leave" the caller reported. Police reported the gathering was being dispersed.
