Police Log: Shoplifter Takes Two TVs, Man Harassing Pizza Customers

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Oct. 16

8:41 p.m.: A caller asked to speak to police about an ongoing issue about her ex-boyfriend and threats he is making.

10:12 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on North Bow Street, police arrested Carlos Armando Martin Salazar, 27, of 45 Benefit St., Apt. 2, Attleboro, on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a motor vehicle lights violation.

Thursday, Oct. 17

5:29 a.m.: A Cadillac was repossessed on Pine Street.

6:40 a.m.: A caller on Purchase Street said a car had struck a rock. No injury was reported initially, but the driver was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

9:02 a.m.: A caller at Rosa's Villa Pizza reported a man was asleep in a vehicle. Police checked and he seemed OK.

9:28 a.m.: Police returned to Rosa's Villa, where the man had returned and was now harassing people coming into and out of the restaurant. Police spoke to him.

10:56 a.m.: Police returned again to 189 West St., where a caller said an employee was being harassed by an employee in the next office.

1:28 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and inquired about his son's stolen bicycle. An officer showed the man the police department's inventory of bikes.

2:15 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and reported his car was stolen, on Jefferson Street.

3:07 p.m.: A woman in the police station asked to speak to an officer about a domestic problem.

3:08 p.m.: A man reported his car was involved in a hit-and-run on South High Street.

4:52 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and said his boss had fired him two days before his two-week notice was up, and then held his friend's motorcycle as ransom for $700, as a payment for storage. Police were speaking to the people involved.

5:48 p.m.: A caller said a patient had locked himself into the bathroom at Spectrum Health Systems for 45 minutes, and then emerged incoherent, and banged his head. Police and EMTs responded.

6:25 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and said he was being harassed by another man. An argument had erupted during a custody exchange. Police were seeking a court summons to charge William N. Demps, 36, of 135 West St., Milford, with violating a harassment prevention order.

6:45 p.m.: Police responded to Milford Regional Medical Center, where a patient was being uncooperative.

8:15 p.m.: A caller on Capitol Road said her neighbors were playing loud music.

8:34 p.m.: Another caller on Capitol Road said her neighbors were playing loud music.

Friday, Oct. 18

1:17 a.m.: Police responded to a home where a 28-year-old woman was intoxicated and out of control.

4:50 a.m.: A caller on South Main Street said he struck a telephone pole but was not injured. The vehicle was towed.

10:45 a.m.: A caller said a man had just walked out of Kmart with two TVs. The man was tall with a sweatsuit and driving a blue Jeep. Police filed a report.

10:53 a.m.: A caller at Planet Fitness asked to speak to an officer about a stolen phone.

12:35 p.m.: A caller reported someone had entered her home, on Cook Street. Police checked and everything was OK.
