Police Log: Running Teens, Vehicle Break-ins

The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, June 22

4:12 p.m.: A caller reported his vehicle was ransacked overnight on Whip o Will Lane. The thief or thieves took phones, a GPS, tape measures, and other items.

4:23 p.m.: A caller reported money orders had been taken from his vehicle and cashed.

4:28 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Water Street, police arrested Elianderson M. Lemes, 30, of 2 Cemetery St., Milford, on a charge of opearting a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

5:11 p.m.: A caller on Harris Avenue told police a car stereo had been stolen from his vehicle, possibly overnight.

5:35 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Cedar Street, near The crash resulted in no injury but one of the vehicles was towed.

6:54 p.m.: An officer investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle at Rosenfeld Park. A person was fishing, and no crime was committed.

8:22 p.m.: Two teenagers on Stub Toe Lane were being loud and drinking alcoholic beverages, a caller reported. An officer located the subjects and said they would be heading in for the night.

8:43 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle was driving erratically and peeling out at traffic lights on Main at Prospect streets.

8:49 p.m.: Four to five teens were seen running through buildings at the Groves apartments, "making a lot of noise." They were gone when police arrived.

9:52 p.m.: An employeee of walked in to police headquarters to report that he has a plastic container full of medical equipment that had fallen off of an SUV.

9:55 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to report  that a woman was breaking into his home.

10:12 p.m.: Six men were in the area of Dilla Street and , "playing games in the roadway and causing people to slam on their brakes."

Saturday, June 23

1:49 a.m.: A police officer reported he was speaking to an intoxicated man at on South Main Street.

1:55 a.m.: A caller reported four to five people were arguing on a back porch, causing a disturbance on Fruit Street Extension.

2:13 a.m.: A caller asked police to remove someone on John Street who was unwanted. Police did so.

7:40 a.m.: Police and firefighters responded to a two-car crash on East Main Street. One person was taken to . Another declined medical treatment.

10:56 a.m.: Police responded to where a woman would not leave. Police spoke to her.

11:51 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Main at Sumner streets, police were seeiking a summons to charge Rentao Demorais, 23, of 83 School St., Milford, on charges of failure to stop or yield and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

11:53 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on East Main Street and Medway Road, police were seeking a summons to charge Maria Mayancela, 34, of 45 Grove St., Apt. 1, Milford, with obstructing an emergency vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

12:23 p.m.: A caller reported her 16- and 18-year-old children were fist fighting. Police responded.

1:42 p.m.: Firefighters responded to Prospect Street, for an electrical smell and fire alarms sounding. Firefighters determined the smell was coming from outside the building, possibly an area struck by lightning the previous night. National Grid was contacted.

2:33 p.m.: A two-vehicle crash was reported on Cedar Street, near Wendy's. No injury was involved.

3:13 p.m.: A caller told police he wanted to speak to an officer about his daughter taking his wife's car. An officer determined the son took the car, and the caller wanted it logged.

4:16 p.m.: Police received a report of suspicious activity at A caller reported a man in a large red pickup was watching the store with binoculars. Police could not locate the suspect. Two pickup trucks in the lot that matched the description were unoccupied.

5:13 p.m.: called to report that a man who had just had his vehicle towed by them, and paid to have it released, was now loading it onto another truck at the intersection of Fortune Boulevard and Cedar Street, blocking traffic. Police responded and the man moved along.

6:01 p.m.: A caller from said a man wearing a black hat and orange shirt was harassing customers and yelling at them, and also is flagging down cars, asking for money. One person got out of a car and chased him down, the caller said.

6:23 p.m.: A noise complaint came in about a multi-family house on South Main and Chapin streets.

6:32 p.m.: A caller reported a loud party on Jefferson Street.

6:41 p.m.: Dudley Police reported that a woman had come in to their police station to report her foster son was with his brother at the Milford quarry off Dilla Street, and is now missing. He told his brother he was going to go to the bathroom and never returned, according to the police narrative.

8:25 p.m.: Police and firefighters responded to on Main Street, where a man was drifting in and out of consciousness. He was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

8:50 p.m.: A walk-in party dropped off a wallet that fell off the roof of the car in front of them on West Walnut Street. An officer was dispatched to return it to the owner.

10:08 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle was all over the road on Prospect Street, near An officer located the woman. Her boyfriend was coming from Mendon to pick her up.

10:15 p.m.: A noise complaint came in from Jefferson Street.

10:58 p.m.: A noise complaint about loud music came in from Rolling Green Drive.

11:10 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters to report she had been getting harassing phone calls from a man. Police contacted the man told him to stop all contact with her so no action would be taken.

11:14 p.m.: A complaint of a loud party was made on West Fountain Street.

11:50 p.m.: A caller said the people turned the music back up on West Fountain Street once the officers left.

Sunday, June 24

1:30 a.m.: A woman called police to report her husband was "acting crazy." Police responded.

2:59 a.m.: A motorist on Water at Bancroft streets reported that people were moving furniture into a vehicle and it looked suspicious. Police checked and all was OK.

4:36 a.m.: Police received a noise complaint about an apartment building on Thayer at Water streets.
