Police Log: Roommate Stealing Things, Man Charged in Domestic Assault

Sunday, Sept. 22

3:50 p.m.: An officer removed several skateboarders from the property at Memorial Hall.

6:56 p.m.: A person who lives on Genoa Avenue reported vandalism activity.

10:28 p.m.: A caller reported receiving suspicious text messages.

11:00 p.m.: A caller on Kennedy Lane said her roommate had stolen items from her bedroom.

Monday, Sept. 23

2:24 a.m.: State Police relayed a cell phone call from a woman locked in her bathroom, who said a man had argued with her, then pulled her hair. Police responded and arrested Jeffrey L. Kase, 35, of 9 W. Pine St., Milford, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

9:05 a.m.: A man on Depot Street reported a theft. He said it appeared people were getting on to his property through the rear of the Dramatic Club property.

10:55 a.m.: A woman reported a hit-and-run on Purchase Street from Saturday night.

11:07 a.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to report his moped was stolen.

11:58 a.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on West Fountain Street. She had a 1-year-old baby in the car and asked to have the child checked out by EMTs.

4:37 p.m.: A girl walked in to police headquarters and reported she was being bullied by another girl at school. She said she was in fear of the other girl and asked to speak to an officer.
