Police Log: Roof Collapse on Central Street, Hummer Allegedly Strikes Fire Vehicle

Police Log: Roof Collapse on Central Street

Sunday, March 2

At 12:58 a.m., Milford police received a report that the driver's side mirror of a vehicle, parked in the area of Nelly's Sandwich Shop on Central Street, had been hit.

At 11:05 a.m., police received a report of an erratic driver when a gray Hummer H2 with a black top driving east on Rte. 16 almost struck a fire vehicle in the area. A be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) alert was issued, but authorities were unable to locate the vehicle. 

At 12:45 p.m., police received a report that a vehicle had been struck sometime during the morning hours on Water Street, resulting in damage to the driver's side mirror.

At 4:05 p.m., police received a report that the roof of a building across the road from the Central Tavern had collapsed. Police contacted the Milford Building Inspector to investigate the building.
