Police Log: Road Rage, Customers Refuse to Leave

In the overnight police log, officers responded to several disturbances, including a report from a 24-hour CVS that customers were refusing to leave. Officers also received a report of an erratic, hostile driver who had confronted another driver on Beaver Street.

Monday, Aug. 1

3:11 p.m.: A two-car collision was reported at the intersection of Depot and Central streets. No injuries were reported.

 3:51 p.m.: A hit-and-run was reported at the parking area. A dark Lexus SUV left the scene, heading toward Route 16. No injuries were reported.

4:20 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop, police are seeking a court summons to charge Segundo Loja, 22, of 27 Chestnut St., Apt. 2, Milford, with failure to stop or yield and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

4:31 p.m.: After responding to for a reported disturbance, police arrested Benyell Richardson, 31, of 42 Bancroft Ave., Milford, on a warrant and took him in to protective custody.

5:28 p.m.: A two-car collision with injuries was reported on Beaver at East Main streets. Two people were taken to according to the police narrative.

5:33 p.m.: A woman called police to report an older male in a Pontiac Cruiser was following her in the area of . “The male was last seen leaving the cemetery on to Fruit Street.”

8:14 p.m.: A caller told police he lost his wallet “somewhere on East Main Street or Medway Road.” He left his contact information if it is found.

8:16 p.m.: A woman on Green Street told police a male was in her backyard that day, looking into her basement windows. Her son confronted him, and he left.

8:25 p.m. A woman walked in to police headquarters to report that a car didn’t stop for her when she was in a crosswalk on Congress Street. She provided police with a plate number.

8:43 p.m.: An unknown caller told police a Dodge Dakota was parked sideways on Dilla Street “in the roadway.” The vehicle was towed.

10:42 p.m.: Several officers responded to North Street after someone heard a woman yelling. Officers determined all was well.

11:51 p.m.: A woman called from Oak Tree Drive to report her 14-year-old daughter had sneaked out of the house. She told police she might be heading to Northbridge to a friend’s house. Police later located her in Upton.

Tuesday, Aug. 2

12:26 a.m.: A disturbance was reported at . A woman said she was in the store at that time, but that “her husband just tried to run her over in his truck.” Several officers responded. The narrative summarized: “Parties were uncooperative. Were looking to be transported to a hotel.”

12:30 a.m.: An employee called from . The caller reported two males were in the store, refusing to leave. The males were gone when police arrived. An officer was not able to recognize them on the store video.

12:55 a.m.: A disturbance was reported on East Main Street, near . A woman said she is walking to the , but her husband is driving by “harassing her.” The husband was gone when police arrived.

1:22 a.m.:  A man called police from Hayward Street and told them a woman, who he identified, had broken his front windshield and was running away on foot.

12:58 p.m.: An incident of erratic driving/road rage was reported on Beaver Street at Medway Road. A caller told police she accidentally cut off another driver. She said she apologized, but “the young woman followed her and blocked her off and started yelling profanities.”
