Police Log: Rhode Island Man Charged with Drug Possession on Emmons St.

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Wednesday, April 23

At 12:13 a.m., Milford Police received a report of a man being harassed in the area of Mobil on Medway Road, where two female individuals reportedly spit on him and threatened him, then took off in a four-door sedan on Rte. I-495 southbound. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle. 

At 4:50 a.m., the Milford Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Westview Mall on West Street. Upon arrival, fire crews found nothing from the outside, and later determined the building had a broken drive pump for the sprinkler system, and notified the building's owner.

At 9:37 a.m., police received a report of suspicious activity in the area of Quinchapaug Road, where a man sitting in a vehicle exited the vehicle and urinated in the roadway. Police spoke with the man, who said he was waiting to do a house inspection and that he did not get out to go to the bathroom. 

At 1:10 p.m., police responded to a report that a white box truck had struck the drive-through lights and awning at the KFC on Medway Road, then drove toward Rte. 16.

At 2:11 p.m., police arrested Robert Douglass, 55, of Milford on charges of operating under the influence of liquor and serious injury and negligent driving, according to police records. 

At 3:36 p.m., police received a report that a manhole cover had not been sitting right near the entrance of Stop and Shop on East Main Street. Crews responded to the scene and replaced the item. 

At 3:56 p.m., police received a report that a black pickup truck had been tailgating other vehicles and driving "all over the road" on Main Street. Police located the vehicle and spoke with the owner, whom they determined to be okay. 

At 5:35 p.m., officers responded to Emmons Street, where they arrested Anthony Paul, 24, of Providence, Rhode Island on charges of possession of a Class B substance and possession to distribute a Class B substance.
