Police Log: Phony Coinstar Receipts, Work Vehicles Tagged

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Feb. 21

4:23 p.m.: A caller reported a woman was passing fraudulent Coinstar receipts at Hannaford stores in the area. Video was available, the caller said.

5:22 p.m.: A Hopedale resident reported check forgery. Police are seeking a court summons to charge Alan Stone, 28, of 980 Highland St., Holliston, with forgery of check, uttering a false check, larceny over $250 by false pretense.

6:45 p.m.: A woman reported she lost her wallet at an OB-GYN clinic in Milford. She said it was navy blue with Xs and Os on it.

7:26 p.m.: A 14-year-old boy in the lobby told police he and his mother had argued, and he left to cool off. He asked for a ride home.

7:42 p.m.: Police responded to South Main Street, near for a report of a two-car crash. No injuries were reported, but a woman was possibly causing a disturbance.

9:11 p.m.: A police officer reported a woman jumped out of a Chevrolet van in the area of Spruce and Main streets. Another officer found her in front of the BP Gas station on Main Street. She claimed the male driver was intoxicated and driving erratically. Police arrested Mark David Ross, 31, of 108 Cottage St., Apt. B, Whitinsville, on charges of OUI liquor, marked lanes violation and improper operation of a motor vehicle.

10:38 p.m.: The 25-year-old woman in the incident above was taken into protective custody at the police station.

Friday, Feb. 22

4:25 a.m.: Police received a report of a possible domestic on Orchard Street. No arrest was reported.

6:47 a.m.: Police reported to Grandma's Attic on Depot Street, where a caller reported two work vehicles had been spray painted and tagged overnight.

9:45 a.m.: Firefighters responded to Camp Street for a smoke investigation. The problem was a woodstove. The firefighters vented the house.

9:48 a.m.: Vandalism was reported to parking posts in the lot on Prentice Avenue.

12:59 p.m.: Police responded to where a man was at the bank trying to cash a fraudulent check. Police arrested Alan Stone, 28, of 980 Highland St., Holliston, on charges of uttering a false order for money, forgery of check and two warrants.

2:05 p.m.: A 37-year-old man fell at Dana-Farber Brigham and Women's Cancer Center, and cut his face. He was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

2:11 p.m.: A man reported his license plate had been stolen off his car. Police entered it into NCIC.
