Police Log: OUI Arrest at Burger King, Car Crash Followed by Fight

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Sept. 10

4:18 p.m.: A caller reported his downstairs neighbor was creating a loud noise disturbance, on Jefferson Street, by banging on his radiator.

4:26 p.m.: A three-car crash was reported on East Main Street. No one was injured.

4:47 p.m.: A caller on Willow Road said another driver in a Toyota Corolla had followed him, and began screaming and making threats.

4:55 p.m.: A caller reported a possible domestic at a Senate Road apartment. Police found no domestic. Someone was talking on the phone loudly.

5:36 p.m.: A caller on Cornell Drive said a man had just knocked on his door and asked him some strange questions. He was wearing jeans and a black shirt. He was about 18.

7:08 p.m.: A passerby on Pearl Street told officers that a group of youths was in front of the center, putting objects in the road.

8:46 p.m.: Police received several calls about a crash on Purchase Street, involving a car and a parked car. Other calls then indicated a fight was taking place.

9:07 p.m.: A caller on Allen Road reported dogs were barking in a garage. A message was left for the animal control officer.

9:13 p.m.: A caller told police an intoxicated man was down on Purchase Street. Police checked and he was OK.

10:09 p.m.: A Nissan Quest was repossessed on Purchase Street.

Wednesday, Sept. 11

12:23 a.m.: A woman reported people were drinking, swearing and making a lot of noise. Police responded but some of the people had left. The others lived in the building.

2:27 a.m.: Police received a report of an intoxicated man in a car with NJ plates at Burger King. Police arrested Felix Peralta, 25, of 615 Van Houten Ave., Apt. 2, Clifton, NJ, on a charge of OUI liquor.

6:52 a.m.: A caller on Jefferson Street reported his windshield was smashed.

11:45 a.m.: An officer received a report of cars in the woods behind Hannaford Supermarket. The people told the detective they were subcontractors. The people then left.

4:37 p.m.: A woman called 911 and hung up, then called back and said she needed help for her son who was out of control and throwing things. Police responded. The boy was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

4:44 p.m.: Best Buy asked police to respond for a report of a shoplifting.

5:59 p.m.: A caller on Camp Street said another driver was throwing beer cans out an open window.

6:37 p.m.: A caller on Jefferson Street said his van was vandalized by his neighbor this morning. A report had been filed but he wanted to speak to an officer.
