Police Log: One Charged After Leaving Scene of Accident

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Sunday, April 13

At 1:33 a.m., Milford Police arrested a Milford resident after responding to an accident in the area of Sumner and Mechanic streets. A white pickup truck struck a pole in the area and then drove off. Police later located the vehicle and placed an Uxbridge man into protective custody, while charging Christian Wilson, 24, of Milford, for driving under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of property damage and failure to drive in the right lane. 

At 12:18 p.m., police received a report of a male on a bicycle with no shirt acting irrational in the area of Archer Avenue. The man was reportedly talking to himself and riding over people's lawns.

At 1:08 p.m., police received a report of a possible water main break in the area of Purchase Street. Water had been reportedly coming up from a manhole in the area of 101 Purchase St., and the Milford Water Company was notified. The MWC investigated and determined it was sewerage coming back up; the Milford sewer department was notified. 

At 5:13 p.m., police responded to a report of fireworks in the area of Grant Street.

At 7:35 p.m., police responded to Dilla Street on a report of an erratic driver. A red Ford pickup truck was reportedly driving all over the road; police subsequently arrested Orland Quizhpe, 28, of Milford, for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation and speeding greater than reasonable.
