Police Log: Noises Above, Solicitation Arrest

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Nov. 26

4:53 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to report his brother was missing. He had been gone at least 24 hours. Police spoke to the man's cell phone provider, who reported the missing man was in Oxford and had changed his number but was actively using the phone. Milford Police contacted Oxford Police.

5:38 p.m.: A caller reported her son had found a gold ring with the Marine Corps emblem on it. An officer was sent to the house to retrieve it.

5:44 p.m.: A caller reported a woman had had a possible heart attack outside Aldi Food Market. She was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

5:59 p.m.: Police responded to Janock Road, where a caller reported Verizon solicitors were in the area. An officer arrested Jose A. Rivera, 32, of 6 Fairmont St., Apt. 5, Cambridge, on a charge of violation of the solicitation bylaw.

7:25 p.m.: A caller reported her child's father had hit her and put his hands on her throat. Police arrested Jean C. Agosto, 24, of 51 N. Bow St., Apt. 2, Milford, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

7:30 p.m.: A teen reported missing came into the police station. She spoke to officers and the mother came to pick her up.

8:59 p.m.: A caller reported a grey Mercedes was being driven erratically in the parking lot of Hannaford Supermarket. Two officers arrived, but the vehicle was gone.

Tuesday, Nov. 27

1:14 a.m.: Westborough Police asked for a well-being check on a woman at Comfort Inn. They had her reported as missing, but a cellphone ping placed her location at the Comfort Inn. Milford Police checked and she was fine. She had had an argument with her husband.

1:35 a.m.: Bellingham Police reported a Ford Explorer was crossing in and out of the lane on South Main Street. Hopedale Police fell in behind the vehicle and stopped it. The driver got a verbal warning.

2:15 a.m.: A caller who lives on West Street said he had just got home and heard a loud noise upstairs. He was worried and unsure if someone was in the house. Police checked and everything was OK.

6:44 a.m.: A caller on Poplar Street reported a woman with a push cart was rooting through people's trash.

9:00 a.m.: A caller reported her wallet was stolen from her car while she was at Planet Fitness the previous day.

10:30 a.m.: A theft was reported at Milford High School.

10:40 a.m.: A caller asked police to check on the well-being of a man inside a parked car at Rosenfeld Park. He had been there since 6 a.m. and she was unsure if he was sleeping, or sick. Police checked and he was OK.

12:02 p.m.: An officer reported a theft at Milford High School.

12:49 p.m.: An assistant principal at Milford High School asked to speak to an officer about a previously reported theft. The white iPod Touch and a black phone had been given back to the owner.

12:54 p.m.: The assistant principal called to report the iPhone 4 had been returned to its owner.

1:20 p.m.: Police responded to where a man outside in a grey hoodie was reported to be making threats toward the employees. He was removed from the site.
