Police Log: Neighbor Receives a Death Threat, Man Vandalizes Brother's Garden

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Nov. 14

5:21 p.m.: Police received a report from Orange Police that they had recovered a stolen vehicle in their town out of Milford. Police here contacted the owner.

6:02 p.m.: A caller on Fiske Mill Road said someone had struck a deer. It had been moved to the side of the road.

9:12 p.m.: A caller asked police to check on the well-being of his friend. He said he thought he might be under the influence and he had a 5-year-old daughter with him. Police checked and everything was fine.

10:02 p.m.: A woman reported an unauthorized use of a debit card.

11:57 p.m.: A landlord on North Bow Street said a fight had happened in the back of an apartment building, and now there was yelling inside. Police responded and filed a report.

Friday, Nov. 15

2:07 a.m.: A caller on Pheasant Circle said someone was knocking on her back door. The person was gone when police arrived.

6:28 a.m.: A man on Water Street said his brother had vandalized his garden overnight.

8:35 a.m.: A caller on Harding Street said some time overnight someone came on to his property and took four large tarps.

12:24 p.m.: A caller reported her friend's ex-boyfriend was harassing the two of them via text messages.

12:29 p.m.: A caller on Whittier Road said his vehicle was broken into and his wallet is missing. The incident happened in Northbridge, so police told him to contact that department.

1:09 p.m.: An officer reported a family on Lawrence Street received a threatening letter.

1:20 p.m.: A caller at Milford National Bank and Trust said a large, white bag with possibly a box inside was near the drive-thru. Police checked and it was a bag of trash.

4:01 p.m.: A woman asked to speak to police because she said she was scared her ex-husband was going to try to take their 5-year-old to Brazil.

10:02 p.m.: A caller at Hamilton House reported a man was refusing to leave the premises.

Saturday, Nov. 16

12:56 a.m.: A woman said she saw someone in her backyard, possibly trying to steal a bicycle. Police responded to Pond Street.

2:54 a.m.: An argument between two roommates was reported on Senate Road.

3:27 a.m.: A police officer asked for firefighter assistance in assessing a vehicle that had hit a tree on West Street, near Milford Pediatrics.

7:15 a.m.: Wires were reported down near Milford High School, due to a blown transformer. National Grid was contacted.

7:27 a.m.: A caller at Caffe Sorrento reported an altercation with a man in dark sunglasses at a stop sign. They both threatened to fight each other if they ever see each other again. It happened about a half hour before the call.

11:20 a.m.: A caller at CVS Pharmacy on South Main Street reported someone was trying to turn in a fake prescription.

12:25 p.m.: A caller on Ramble Road said copper piping had been stolen out of his house.

12:50 p.m.: A caller on Congress Street said her 10-year-old nephew was throwing a fit. Police responded and helped restore peace.

2:16 p.m.: A caller on Prospect Street reported a car was all over the road, and it almost hit other vehicles. Police reported it to Hopedale and Mendon Police.

7:23 p.m.: A disturbance was reported in a neighborhood, where a caller said her son had just threatened a neighbor. Her son said he was going to kill the man, the woman said. Police responded and the son was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center for an evaluation.

7:31 p.m.: A caller on Pheasant Circle said she left her car parked outside, and when she returned, after five minutes, her purse was missing.

7:58 p.m.: A woman fell and struck her head at Milford High School and was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

9:17 p.m.: A caller reported a man and a woman were in the middle of East Main Street, and may be intoxicated.

11:01 p.m.: A caller reported a car was swerving all over Main Street, near Main Street Market. Police followed the driver to Lincoln Street and reported seeing no signs of erratic driving.
