Police Log: Milford Woman Summonsed for Shoplifting from Shaws

Sunday, June 22

At 8:27 a.m., police received a report that a vehicle was taken on Central Street. Police spoke with the vehicle owner's wife, who had been trying to find out the location of the vehicle. 

At 12:01 p.m., police received a report of a dog left in a vehicle for more than a half hour at KMart on Medway Road.

At 2:21 p.m., police received a report of a white truck parked in a handicap spot on Franklin Street. The vehicle was found to have been parked illegally. 

At 3:16 p.m., police received a report that someone had been riding a dirt bike up and down the roadway without a helmet in the area of Chestnut and Orchard streets. Police responded and spoke to the rider, advising him that he wasn't allowed to ride the bike on the roadway.

At 5:26 p.m., police responded to a report of shoplifting at Shaw's on Prospect Street. Upon arrival, they spoke with staff at the store who claimed that a female tried to leave with more than $200 of merchandise. Police issued a summons to Tracy Decoff, 33, of Milford, on four charges of larceny of less than $250. 

At 8:31 p.m., police received a report that a man was riding up and down Mill Pond Circle on a dirt bike. Police responded and spoke with the rider. 

At 8:55 p.m., police responded to the area of Fino Field, where a caller reported seeing a blue tent in the woods. Police were unable to find anyone in the area. 

At 9:33 p.m., police responded to reports of a vehicle crashing into a house on Main Street. No further details were immediately available. 

At 10:33 p.m., police pulled over a Toyota Scion in the area of Spruce and School streets, where they arrested Marcelino Guallpa, 22, of Milford, for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop/yield.
