Police Log: Milford Resident Charged for Driving Without a License

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Wednesday, April 30

At 9:38 a.m., Milford Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the back parking lot at Tri-County Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery on Cape Road. A caller reported that male parties in the vehicle may have been intoxicated. Officers responded and spoke to the occupants of the vehicles. 

At 11:17 a.m., police received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked outside of an apartment on Luby Avenue. The vehicle belonged to a private investigator who had not checked into the Milford Police Department, according to police records.

At 11:58 a.m., police received a report of an accident on East Main Street involving two vehicles, a blue Hyundai Sonata and a red Ford Escape. A female occupant complained of arm pain, according to police records. 

At 4:04 p.m., Milford fire crews responded to an alarm at the Asia Cafe on Main Street.

At 8:05 p.m., police received a report of a disabled vehicle near the Metrowest Oral Surgical Associates on Water Street. A caller reported that a man approached her as she was leaving Garden Pizza and asked for a jack to fix a flat tire on his vehicle. Police responded and found no one around the vehicle in question and that no tires had been damaged. 

Thursday, May 1

At 3:03 a.m., police received a report from staff at CVS that suspicious female had been walking around the store. Officers spoke with the female, who had been from out of state and was just shopping for some items. 

At 10:48 a.m., police responded to the scene of an accident in the area of East Main Street and Medway Road resulting in minor damage. 

At 2:20 p.m., police received a report that a tractor-trailer had struck wires in the area of Mechanic Street. 

At 5:01 p.m., police received a report that a small black dog was inside a black Kia with the windows cracked in the parking lot of Kohl's on Medway Road. 

At 8:33 p.m., police pulled a vehicle over in the area of Congress and Walnut streets, where they arrested Josue De Oliveira Rios, 25, of Milford, for a miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
