Police Log: Milford Man Summonsed for Fraud

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Thursday, June 26

At 12:15 a.m., police received a report that a vehicle had been parked in a resident's driveway for about an hour, but no one had been in the vehicle at the time of the report. Police responded and found the vehicle was parked on the street, then spoke with the caller who said he was worried due to the fact that he did not recognize the vehicle. 

At 6:24 a.m., police received a request to help move vehicles at the Prospect Heights area.

At 9:52 a.m., an individual walked into the Milford Police Department to report an incident of fraud. Officers subsequently issued a summons to Sean Ireland, 24, of Milford for larceny of more than $250 by false pretense. 

At 11:14 a.m., police received a report of a motor vehicle accident in front of Tracy & Becky Daycare on East Main Street.

At 12:32 p.m., police received a report from a male in a vehicle was hit while parked on Beach Street. 

At 12:35 p.m., police received a report that a tractor-trailer unit hit wires on Purchase Street, knocking them down. Comcast was notified. 

At 1:13 p.m., a caller reported to police that the back window of his vehicle had been broken. 

At 5:36 p.m., a caller reported that a four-wheeler had been driving up and down Chestnut Street, pulling wires down. Comcast was notified. 

At 9:58 p.m., a caller reported that a group of skateboarders were on on the tennis courts at Milford High School. The caller subsequently reported that the group had left the area.

At 10:58 p.m., Medway police reported they had a hit-and-run accident in their town and the vehicle involved was heading into Milford. Officers checked the area of Medway Road, as well as the rental company the car reportedly belonged to, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
