Police Log: Milford Fire Crews Contain Brush Fire on Colonial Road

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Saturday, June 21

At 1:39 a.m., police arrested William Peterson, 21, of Milford, for driving under the influence of liquor, failure to stop/yield and speeding after police pulled his vehicle over in the area of Purchase and Dilla streets.

At 2:03 a.m., police received a report of noise in the area of Tara Circle. 

At 5:26 a.m., police received a report from Massachusetts State Police that a Milford woman, Michelle Anne Morton, 20, had been arrested on three separate warrants. 

At 10:16 a.m., police received a report that a vehicle was struck while parked in a driveway on Claflin Street. 

At 10:27 a.m., police filed a report that three vehicles were vandalized at Ira Toyota overnight. 

At 3:23 p.m., the Milford Fire Department responded to a potential brush fire behind Colonial Road. Crews responded and found smoke in the area, and were able to contain the blaze, which was reportedly small and about 5-by-20-feet in size. 

At 4:12 p.m., police received a report from a South Main Street resident, who found "old bones" in his yard. Officers responded and determined the old bones were from a barbecue. 

At 5:25 p.m., police received a report that a jewelry box was taken from a home on Zain Circle. 

At 11:50 p.m., a Purchase Street resident told police that a red Ford Escort pulled into his driveway, the driver of which then left. Officers responded and determined the vehicle had been registered to a Holliston resident, who was later contacted and told police he parked it in the wrong driveway. The vehicle was subsequently moved.
