Police Log: Milford Fire Crews Assist Guest Stuck on Double Tree Hotel Roof

Friday, June 27

At 2:35 a.m., Milford police received a report that a man was laying down on the corner of the parking lot of the Mobil Station on Rte. 109. The man reportedly tried to rise several times but kept falling down. Police responded and placed a Milford man into protective custody. 

At 3:58 a.m., police received a report that a guest of the Doubletree Hotel on Beaver Street had snuck out of her third floor room and found her way onto the building's roof, unable to get back into the building. Milford fire crews responded to assist.

At 7:22 a.m., police received a report that wires were struck down on Haven Street. The wires connected a pole to a home on the road. National Grid was notified. 

At 12:38 p.m., police were notified that two air conditioning units were missing from a property on South Main Street.

At 3:09 p.m., police received a report that smoke was showing in the area of Mount Pleasant Street.

At 9:47 p.m., police received a report of a hit-and-run on South Main Street. 

At 11 p.m., a caller reported that someone stole his safe that contained documents earlier in the day from his Plain Street home. 

Saturday, June 28

At 2:20 a.m., Massachusetts State Police transferred a call to Milford regarding a male who wished to report a noise complaint on Water Street. Officers responded to the area and spoke with parties involved. 

At 7:35 a.m., a caller reported loud music coming from a lower level apartment on West Street. 

At 9:06 a.m., the Milford Fire Department responded to Stop & Shop on a report of an animal in a storm drain. 

At 10:10 a.m., police responded to the area of Nathan's on Main Street on a report of a two-car accident. One vehicle was towed from the scene. 

At 10:17 a.m. police responded to the Milford Family Pharmacy on East Main Street on a report of stolen medication. Police issued a summons to Joel Barbieri, 33, of Uxbridge on a charge of larceny of less than $250. 

At 1:10 p.m., police responded to Purchase Street on a report of at two-car accident involving no injuries. 

At 1:42 p.m., police pulled a vehicle over near the Pizza Chef on Main Street, where they issued a summons to Maria Castro, 29, of Milford, for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a crosswalk violation. 

At 5:51 p.m., police received a report that someone was trying to steal from Best Buy on Fortune Boulevard. 

At 7:02 p.m., police received a report of two bikes and a green two-door vehicle driving up and down Central Street and Mount Pleasant Street at a high rate of speed. 

At 7:23 p.m., police received a report that mulch on the property of Midas on East Main Street was on fire. 

At 8:28 p.m., police received a report that fireworks were being set off in the area of Carp Road.
