Police Log: Middle School East Vandalism, Woman Yelling at Trick-or-Treaters

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Oct. 31

1:57 p.m.: A woman on Vickie Lane reported her car was broken into. The car was unlocked.

1:59 p.m.: Wires were reported down on Haven Street. It was a phone line.

2:39 p.m.: Wires were reported down on Senate Road, affecting the Groves apartments. National Grid was notified.

3:32 p.m.: A woman walked in to report the assistant principal said a student at Middle School East had spray painted the basketball court. She asked that the information be logged.

3:37 p.m.: A caller on South Terrace said his car sometime the previous night had been ransacked, and about $5 in change taken.

4:15 p.m.: A woman reported she had her wallet stolen at Planet Fitness.

4:21 p.m.: A caller on West Walnut Street said a vehicle had been broken into that day. Two emergency cell phones and change were taken.

4:31 p.m.: A caller reported sometime overnight his car was ransacked and change taken.

4:45 p.m.: A caller on Glines Avenue reportd her vehicle was ransacked and sunglasses were taken. 

5:05 p.m.: A caller on Walker Avenue asked to speak to an officer about larceny from a car. 

6:08 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters to report a woman on Church Street had yelled at her children while they were Trick-or-Treating. She asked for the information to be logged in case the woman does it to other children.

6:13 p.m.: A woman asked police to log that both she and her father had their vehicles rifled through the previous night. They were unsure if anything was missing.

6:28 p.m.: Following a report of a two-car crash at Cedar and Dilla streets, police were seeking a court summons to charge Kyla M. Caldwell, 25, of 355 Dunlap St., Woonsocket, RI, with failure to stop or yield, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. One person in the crash was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

8:01 p.m.: A woman on Congress Street said her neighbor's car was just egged by people in a beige Volvo. Police removed egg from the car. A BOLO was issued to Mendon and Hopedale Police, based on the direction of travel for the Volvo.

8:54 p.m.: A woman on Cedarview Circle reported her house had just been egged, and that it was an ongoing issue.

9:24 p.m.: A man on Temple Street said someone had just knocked on the door, then ran. He wasn't sure if it was Trick-or-Treaters, or not, but asked police to drive by. Police checked and all was OK.

9:41 p.m.: A caller reported she was just choked by her boyfriend, who then took her keys. Police are seeking a summons to charge Ryan K. Palmer, 28, of 89 Congress St., Milford, with violating an abuse prevention order, domestic assault and battery and larceny from a person.

10:41 p.m.: Mirrors were smashed on a car on Cape Road, a caller reported.

10:57 p.m.: A caller reported a loud party on Franklin Street, with possible underage drinking. Police restored peace.

11:29 p.m.: The caller said police need to return to Franklin Street, where the noise "has not simmered."

Thursday, Nov. 1

12:31 a.m.: Police responded to Franklin Street, where a caller reported multiple people were in the driveway, arguing. Police are seeking a summons to charge Andrew Cripps, 20, of 31 Franklin St., Milford, with keeper of a noisy and disorderly house.

11:06 a.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters to complain that there were Scott Brown political signs in Draper Memorial Park. An officer checked the park and said it was clear of all signs.
