Police Log: Man Yelling 'Foul Language' on East Main, House Hit with Paintballs

The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Sept. 5

5:20 p.m.: Police responded to East Main Street, where a caller said a man in a Jeep Liberty was in front of , "yelling foul language." The man took off before police arrived.

5:48 p.m.: A woman on Briar Drive reported her house was struck with a paintball gun. Police filed a vandalism report.

8:05 p.m.: Police received a report of a disturbance on East Main Street. A man said he was having an argument with his wife. Someone was taken to for an evaluation.

9:34 p.m.: A caller reported a grey or brown Toyotta Corolla "drove her off the road" on Cedar Street at Interstate 495 and passed her in a no passing zone. The vehicle was last seen heading on to 495 North. State Police were notified.

9:37 p.m.: A tractor-trailer truck took down the lights at Congress and Exchange streets, an officer reported. Two light poles and a steel pole were affected. Police determined live wires were at the scene, and erected barricades. A company was notified to disconnect the wires. Following an investigation, police are seeking a summons to charge John Dey Turner Jr., 55, of 1721 SW 11th St., Boca Raton, FL, with leaving the scene of property damage, marked lanes violation and having an unregistered motor vehicle.

Thursday, Sept. 6

12:16 a.m.: An officer reported wires were still live at Congress and Exchange streets.

8:22 a.m.: A woman reported her car was struck on Congress Street. No injury was involved. responded to clean up broken glass.

9:07 a.m.: A man reported he lost his bag and all of its contents, including credit cards and a passport.

12:41 p.m.: Police responded to where a woman had reportedly taken items from the store.

1:06 p.m.: Police are seeking a summons to charge Kevin R. Ostertog, 39, of 2 Shadowbrook Ln., Apt. 26, Milford, with three counts of violating an abuse prevention order.

2:26 p.m.: A man was reported to be at with unknown injuries. Firefighters and police responded. An ambulance staffer spotted the man in the parking lot. He was sleeping.

2:35 p.m.: Police responded to Kohl's, where a man was in the store, shoplifting. The caller called back and said the man had left with another person, heading for Interstate 495 in a gold car with a "covered license plate." State Police were notified.
