Police Log: Man Won't Leave Shaw's Supermarket

Wednesday, Jan. 9

5:57 p.m.: Police responded to 7-Eleven for a report of an older man, shoplifting. Police checked him out and everything was OK.

7:03 p.m.: A man came in to police headquarters to pick up a cell phone that was found on Madden Avenue.

8:35 p.m.: Police and firefighters responded to Milford High School, for a report of a 16-year-old girl with asthma who had trouble breathing.

9:45 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Walnut at Grant streets, police arrested Steven Wilson, 26, of 7 Capitol Rd., Apt. 9, Milford, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and having no inspection sticker.

10:58 p.m.: An elderly man told police there was a fight outside a residence on Poplar Street. Police checked and everything was OK.

Thursday, Jan. 10

3:08 a.m.: A man was in the parking lot and the front door of and refused to leave. Police responded and spoke to him.

8:27 a.m.: A caller asked police to remove a man from her home. She said in the past he had bothered her family through the internet and text messages. Now, he has just shown up, she said, and tried to start a fight with her brother. Police responded.

9:00 a.m.: A caller reported West Pine at Congress streets was icy.
