Police Log: Man Suspected of Stealing Game Console, Car

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Monday, March 31

At 8:02 a.m., Milford Police responded to an accident in the area of Purchase Street and Glines Avenue, where a tractor-trailer reportedly struck a pole. National Grid was requested to the scene to fix the pole. 

At 11:05 a.m., police and fire crews responded to The Crystal Room on Cedar Street on a report of fire and smoke showing in the downstairs office lobby. Crews found nothing showing from the exterior of the building and investigated the incident.

At 1:47 p.m., police received a report that a man stole a Play Station 4 game console from Best Buy on Fortune Boulevard. The alleged shoplifter was described as being a white man about 5-feet, 6-inches tall, with a shaved head, beard and wearing a hat and gray sweatshirt. Hopkinton Police were notified to help identify the suspect's vehicle, which they later determined to be allegedly stolen from Concord Street. The matter is under investigation. 

At 5:15 p.m., police received a report that someone stole a bottle of prescription drugs from a location on Claflin Street.

At 5:25 p.m., police put a be-on-the-lookout alert for all cars in regards to a report of an erratic driver in the area of West Street after a dump truck was spotted allegedly driving with its tailgate down, with mulch pouring out onto the road.
