Police Log: Man Injured by Bobcat, Arrests

Sunday, Feb. 10

12:06 a.m.: A caller reported her phone was stolen at PiNZ.

12:08 a.m.: An officer was out with a disabled motor vehicle on South Main Street at Bragg Slipp.

12:10 a.m.: EMTs and police responded to Rolling Green Drive, where a caller reported a bobcat front end had fallen on his leg. He was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

7:09 a.m.: Milford Regional Medical Center asked police to take a male patient home because he had no socks on.

8:13 a.m.: A car struck a parked car near Morin's Studio on Pine Street. No injury was reported.

9:27 a.m.: A caller on Cypress Road reported a plow truck had backed into a snowbank and the man inside it appeared to be unconscious. The caller went to the vehicle and woke the man up. He seemed OK. Police reported the man had been taking a nap and everything was OK.

10:09 a.m.: A vehicle struck a pole on South Bow Street. National Grid was contacted. The male driver was not injured.

11:32 a.m.: Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Cedar Street. A tractor-trailer was on the side of the road. Police spoke to the operator, who was sleeping and agreed to move out of the travel lane.

1:05 p.m.: A man and a woman were reported to have assaulted each other. Both were declining treatment. The man threw a magazine at the woman and punched her in the face, according to the police narrative. The woman threw a box of cigarettes at the man, police said. Police arrested Johnny Perez, 43, of 5 Alfred Rd., Apt. H, Milford, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

1:24 p.m.: A caller reported two kids were playing with water in the middle of Highland Street.

1:57 p.m.: A caller told police that a business next door to him, on West Street, had pushed all of its snow into his property. Police spoke to the Auto Mall owner and advised him to tell the plowers not to push snow into the next lot.

2:43 p.m: A caller on Pond Street told police a neighbor was snowblowing snow into the road.

7:12 p.m.: Police received a 911 call from a location on Congress Street. On call back, the woman told police she did it accidentally. She was having an argument with her 9-year-old son and only wanted to threaten that she would call police. Police responded to the house to conduct a well-being check. Police requested an ambulance and took the woman to Milford Regional Medical Center for an evaluation.

9:22 p.m.: An officer requested a tow for a car in front of Several attempts to locate the owner were unsuccessful.

9:24 p.m.: A caller on Fells Avenue at Purchase Street reported a tractor-trailer truck had just taken the corner on to Purchase Street and hit his wall. Police pulled the driver over at Sumner and Dilla streets. A report was filed.

9:58 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle crash at Main and Pine streets, police arrested Nikki Woodworth, 31, of 79 North Ave., Mendon, on charges of OUI liquor, impeded operation unsafe operation of a motor vehicle and following too closely.

Monday, Feb. 11

3:26 a.m.: A caller said a group of men were playing loud music on Water at Oliver streets for the second night in a row.

9:26 a.m.: A caller reported his vehicle was involved in a hit and run on Claudette Drive. He was at work at the time, and said he would stop in to the police station to file a report.

10:27 a.m.: A caller reported an 18-wheeler was blocking the road at Fells Avenue at Purchase Street.

10:32 a.m.: A police sergeant responded to a report of a larceny at 7-Eleven. Police are seeking a summons to charge Halston A. Borglund, 20, of 4 Prentice Ave., Apt. 1, Milford, with larceny over $250 by single scheme.
