Police Log: Man Falls Down Stairs, Woman Lost in the Woods with Bee Sting Reaction

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Sept. 27

5:59 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and reported she had had her phone stolen in Franklin. It was now traced to Milford. Police responded and recovered the phone. Police are seeking a summons to charge Wanderson DaSilva, 23, of 39 Glines Ave., Apt. 1, Milford, with receiving stolen property more than $250.

7:42 p.m.: A hurt animal was reported on East Main Street. Holliston was responding.

8:57 p.m.: Security at Milford Regional Medical Center said a plastic shank was found in the parking lot. Security was meeting the officer at the ER entrance.

11:14 p.m.: A caller reported a large, flatbed truck was slowly driving up and down Trinity Drive for the past three nights.

11:39 p.m.: A caller said her 21-year-old daughter was out of control due to being upset about not being able to go out to her friend's house. The woman said the daughter was now threatening to do harm to herself. Police responded. The young woman was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

Saturday, Sept. 28

3:03 a.m.: An officer found two sneakers in the road, and was checking the roadside for a possible pedestrian struck. The officer found no evidence of that.

9:29 a.m.: A caller said her ex was harassing her and keeps coming by her house on Luby Avenue. Police spoke to all of the parties and reported the problem was rectified.

10:55 a.m.: Police received a cell phone call relayed by the state that a woman was lost in the woods and possibly was having a reaction to bee stings. Firefighters and police responded to Cedar Street. The woman was taken to the hospital.

11:05 a.m. to 11:40 a.m.: An officer gave three verbal warnings and two written warnings to drivers on Sumner Street.

12:32 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported near Middle School East. One person was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

12:38 p.m.: A protestor was outside Milford Auto Mall. He told an officer he had spoken with the police chief about protesting in front of the business.

1:13 p.m.: A woman reported trash had been at the curb on Walker Avenue for more than a week and was not picked up. The tenant may have moved out.

1:26 p.m.: A caller reported a child was unattended in a Chevrolet Malibu parked outside Kohl's. An officer spoke to the child's mother.

1:37 p.m.: A caller reported a hit-and-run on East Main Street. He reported the vehicle that took off was a silver pickup with a black trailer on the back.

2:21 p.m.: A 20-year-old woman had an allergic reaction at IRA Toyota. She was taken to the hospital.

2:43 p.m.: A woman and two children were soliciting motorists outside Target for money.

3:00 p.m.: A woman was at the police station and reported she believed that she was the victim of a scam. Someone had called her claiming to be with Publisher's Clearinghouse, and said she had won money, and all she had to do was send them the tax on the winnings.

4:46 p.m.: A woman said while her handicapped husband was getting into her vehicle at Kmart, in a handicapped space, another vehicle backed into her car and then fled.

8:07 p.m.: Police responded to Spring Street, where a man had fallen down the stairs. Firefighters reported the man had injuries to his head and his left side. He was flown by medical helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

10:00 p.m.: A man was found unconscious at Stop and Shop. He was taken to the hospital.

11:07 p.m.: Four people were arguing outside a home on Winter Street. Police checked and everything was OK.

Sunday, Sept. 29

12:41 a.m.: A caller reported a man was stumbling in the road on Depot at Whitney streets. An officer said he lived in the area and was on the sidewalk, and probably on his way home.

1:50 a.m.: A caller said kids were in the parking lot of a Congress Street house, making noise. Police found two older kids in the park, who were leaving.

8:22 a.m.: A caller requested an officer for the theft of multiple bikes, on Purdue Drive.

1:37 p.m.: A caller requested to speak to an officer about ATVs riding up and down Central Street.

2:27 p.m. to 3:29 p.m.: An officer gave out several verbal warnings and citations to drivers on Dilla Street.

3:50 p.m.: A man asked police to help him with an unruly child in the parking lot of the Milford Police station. An officer said everything was OK. The 6-year-old had tried to run away from his grandfather. An officer helped the grandfather get the child back into his vehicle.
