Police Log: Man Faces Weapons Charges

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Jan. 1

7:02 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Whip o Will Lane, police arrested Cheryl A. Butler, 43, of 7 Princess Pine Lane, Milford, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, attaching a wrong number plate, operating an uninsured vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and a warrant.

7:49 p.m.: Police responded to Green Street, after receiving a call from a woman screaming that a man had a gun. The man was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center for an evaluation. Police are seeking a summons to charge Jason M. Nadeau, 28, of 45 Littlefield Rd., Milford, with possessing a large capacity firearm, improper storage of a large capacity firearm, possessing a large capacity feeding device and carrying a dangerous weapon. Police are seeking a summons to charge Charles H. Nadeau, Jr., 58, of 13 Green St., Milford, on charges of improperly storing a large capacity firearm.

10:46 p.m.: Police responded to Water Street, where a woman reported loud music was coming from an apartment.

7:21 a.m.: A caller reported a grey minivan crashed on Country Club Lane about an hour ago, and it was still there. Police reported the car had hit a rock, with air bag deployment. An officer spoke to the car's owner at an address on Country Club Lane, the driver refused medical treatment.

7:59 a.m.: A two-car crash, involving a Hopedale bus, was reported on West Street. No injury was reported.

10:49 a.m.: A caller from Milford Highway Department told police a resident on Rosenfeld Avenue had a sump pump pumping water into the roadway, creating ice. Police were attempting to contact the homeowner.

2:08 p.m.: A caller on Beach Street reported two men were sitting in a white Camry drinking out of alcohol bottles. The men were gone when police arrived.
