Police Log: Man Crawling Through Drive-thru Window

Friday, Aug. 10

4:14 p.m.: A two-vehicle crash was reported on West Street. No injury was reported.

6:03 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Ivy Lane at Purchase Street. No injury was reported.

7:20 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters with a laceration to his arm. Police arrested Michelle Sampson, 21, of 22 Franklin St., Apt. 1, Milford, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

8:53 p.m.: A caller reported a large sinkhole in the road on Congress Terrace.

9:15 p.m.: A hit-and-run crash was reported on South Main and Fruit streets. Police are seeking a summons to charge Matthew McDonough, 23, of 6A Oak Tree Dr., Milford, on charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and leaving the scene of property damage.

Saturday, Aug. 11

2:19 a.m.: A woman with long dark hair, wearing shorts, was reported to be intoxicated at at South Main Street.

3:22 a.m.: A caller told police her husband broke down her bedroom door. Police arrived and interviewed both husband and wife. The incident was verbal, police determined.

5:47 a.m.: Police responded to on South Main Street, where a man in fatigues was reported to be trying to climb through the drive-through window. He was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.

10:36 a.m.: Security at reported a shoplifter in custody, who had taken about $45 in groceries.

1:27 p.m.: A caller reported a two-vehicle crash at Mobil on Cedar Street.

6:14 p.m.: A caller reported a hit-and-run on Purchase Street. Police are seeking a summons to charge a 16-year-old with a learner's permit violation, with leaving the scene of property damage and with failure to use care in stopping, starting or backing.

9:20 p.m.: A manager at Auto Zone reported a Ford Taurus in the parking lot had the hood up, and music blaring.

10:32 p.m.: A caller reported a noise complaint on South Bow Street.

11:13 p.m.: A caller reported her upstairs neighbors on Alfred Road were being loud and "she can't sleep." Police spoke to them.

11:19 p.m.: A caller reported he heard his upstairs neighbor on South Bow Street arguing with a woman "and is concerned." Police checked and everything was OK.

11:35 p.m.: A caller reported his neighbor on Luby Avenue had threatened him.

Sunday, Aug. 12

12:03 a.m.: A caller on Claflin Street said he witnessed a man punching and kicking his wife. Police spoke to the parties involved, who were "uncooperative at this time." Police decided to check back later.

12:19 a.m.: A caller reported a lot of debris in the Metcalf Avenue roadway.

1:27 a.m.: A caller reported loud music on Haven Street.

4:13 a.m.: A woman reported her husband was beeping his car horn in front of her home on Walker Avenue, in violation of a restraining order. Police are seeking a summons to charge Antonio G. Peniche, 43, of 102 Beaver St., Milford, with violating an abuse prevention order.
