Police Log: Loud Party, Arrests

Milford police responded to several complaints overnight, including a report that a father was trying to take his children home from an elementary school, despite a restraining order.
Thursday, March 15
4:08 p.m.: A hit-and-run crash was reported in parking lot. The witness had no description of the victim's vehicle, but he provided a car registration for the perpetrator.

7:17 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Fayette at Main streets, police arrested Marcos Alex Costa, 30, of 29 West St., Milford, on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and obstruction of justice/misleading a police officer. The Chevrolet Silverado was towed.

12:27 a.m.: A caller on Luby Avenue complained a neighbor was having a loud party and "they are playing loud music and talking too loud." Police spoke to the people at the residence.
12:34 a.m.: Police took a woman into protective custody after receiving a report of a domestic incident on East Street.
11:08 a.m.: The grandfather of children at told police the children's father was attempting to take them from school, despite a restraining order. An officer assisted in addressing the problem.
11:40 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on North Bow Street, police arrested Brandon M. Brown, 26, of 13 Maple St., Whitinsville, on a warrant.
1:41 p.m.: Police responded to for a report of a woman in black fleece shoplifting.
