Police Log: Local Man Charged for Carrying Dangerous Weapon

Wednesday, May 7
At 12:08 a.m., police received a report of a male wearing a white plaid shirt and jeans who was seen hassling customers for a phone in front of Rite Aid on Prospect Street.
At 12:24 a.m., Bellingham police requested response for a Tractor-Trailer rollover on Rte. 495 southbound near Exit 18.

At 11:50 a.m., police received a report of a car alarm going off in the court parking lot on West Street and that a suspicious-looking man was walking way from the vehicle carrying items in his hands. Police responded and arrested Henry Diaz, 29, of Milford, for carrying a dangerous weapon.
At 12:10 p.m., police received a report that a white Acura with a male driver was in the area of Mystic Lane taking pictures of homes on the street. Police issued a Be-On-the-Look-Out alert to vehicles in the area.

At 12:14 p.m., police received a report of a brush fire in the area of Purchase and Haven streets near the Mendon Tower. Crews responded but were unable to locate smoke or fire.
At 3:28 p.m., a caller reported that three youths were across the street from the Milford Library picking on another youth. The caller disconnected before a description or call-back number could be obtained.
At 3:30 p.m., police received a report of a potential brush fire near the Dover Tower and Sudbury Tower, as smoke was seen in the area. Crews later found that the smoke was coming from a rock-crushing operation in the area.
At 4:26 p.m., police received a report from a caller who claimed his client's narcotics had been stolen from a lock box.
At 4:32 p.m., a female spoke to police about a scam.
At 6:47 p.m., police received a report that three man, one of whom was wearing a white shirt and baggy pants, attempted to steal items from Staples on Fortune Boulevard before leaving in a blue SUV.
At 8:27 p.m., police received multiple calls regarding a two-car accident in the area of Pearl and Main streets, where one vehicle reportedly struck a parked car with possible air bag deployment.
