Police Log: Intoxicated Teen, Hunting Complaint

The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police responded to a Milford home overnight, after receiving a report that a teen was heavily intoxicated. She was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center. And officers also received a complaint of people hunting too close to a home on Haven Street. Deer hunting season ends Dec. 31.

Thursday, Dec. 29

4:02 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Green Street at Cape Road. One driver reported neck pain.

4:19 p.m.: A homeowner on Haven Street told police people were hunting too close to his home. The hunters could not be located by police.

5:38 p.m.: A caller on Whitney Street told police a vacant home on the street had front windows that were open. Police secured the windows.

10:40 p.m.: A man reported that his wife was choking him and fighting with him. "She also is throwing things on the ground," he told police. The woman was getting ready to go to work. A report was filed, but no arrest made.

11:18 p.m.: A caller from the on Main Street told police that "someone threatened to kill him if he didn't pay him the money he owes him." Police investigated but determined it was a civil matter, not criminal threatening.

Friday, Dec. 30

12:12 a.m.: A 15-year-old girl was taken to after police determined she was heavily intoxicated and should be transported. The call had come in from a parent of a girl who had spoken to another girl at the house over Facebook, who was nervous because the teen was vomiting and the parents at the house were sleeping.

8:46 a.m.: A person walked in to police headquarters and asked to speak to an officer about a scam on Craigslist.

9:45 a.m.: A caller reported an unattended child in a carseat in a car at the on Prospect Street. The father returned to the car and left before police arrived.

10:47 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on West Street, police are seeking a summons to charge Simara A. Ferreira, 29, of 9 Forest St., Milford, with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

11:54 a.m.: A caller reported he thought a house on Oliver Street was being broken into. Police determined the person in question was a tenant at the building.

2:14 p.m.: Police responded to for a report of a female shoplifter.

2:16 p.m.: Police and firefighters responded to for a report of a 20-year-old woman unconscious in the back corner of the gym.
