Police Log: Intoxicated 14-year-old, Fight, Disturbance near Portuguese Club

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, July 20

10:32 p.m.: An officer requested an ambulance for an intoxicated 14-year-old girl near Gene's Variety. The girl was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

10:40 p.m.: Police took a person home from the Portuguese Club.

11:22 p.m.: Police requested an ambulance for a man who fell on Water Street. He was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

11:31 p.m.: A caller at Caffe Sorrento said he could see three men walking on the rooftop of Rivera Athletic Club, across Central Street. Police responded and found nothing visible.

11:35 p.m.: An officer reported seeing a domestic on the far end of the soccer field at the Portuguese Club. Police responded and found it was a sister trying to console a brother over a breakup.

11:40 p.m.: An officer was checking the roof of the Rivera Athletic Club. The building was secured.

Sunday, July 21

12:20 a.m.: An officer requested an ambulance for an intoxicated man at the Portuguese Club. Hopedale responded for the medical call, and took the man to the hospital.

12:34 a.m.: Police requested an ambulance to Milford Police Department for an evaluation of a prisoner. The ambulance cleared with no transport to the hospital.

12:53 a.m.: Police received several calls about a fight on Prospect Heights. One man  was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

1:05 a.m.: A caller reported several people were near cars on Lawrence Street, and she thought a fight was about to start. Police checked the area, and the people were sent on their way.

1:14 a.m.: A large disturbance was reported in the park at Prospect Heights. Police spoke to the people involved.

1:32 a.m.: A disturbance was reported at Casey Memorial Pool. Two officers were dispatched by the police chief to the area. The people causing the disturbance were gone when police arrived.

3:33 a.m.: A caller on Main Street reported his girlfriend and her mother were having a heated argument. On arrival, police found no problem.

5:30 a.m.: The emergency room at Milford Regional Medical Center requested assistance for bringing an intoxicated man back to the hospital. He had on a bloody blue shirt and jeans. Police returned him to the hospital.

6:33 a.m.: Milford Regional called again, because the man had walked out of the hospital again. Police checked the area but could not find him.

6:56 p.m.: A woman reported a yellow and white cat was struck in the area of Green at Main streets, and ran off into the woods. Police checked but found no sign of any injured animal.

8:54 a.m: A caller on Taft Street complained that 10 to 15 cars were parked on the sidewalk outside Milford High School, and said people had to walk in the road. Police ticketed the cars.

9:35 to 9:43 a.m.: An officer turned in a Sovereign Bank card, a black wallet, a debit card and a brown wallet left behind by people at the Portuguese American Club. The owners were contacted.

10:34 a.m.: A caller said a flower arrangement was stolen from the front deck of a house on Whitney Street.

6:04 p.m.: A man on Water Street said his neighbor is revving his engine "like a road warrior" in front of his house, and said the police are no help and he is tired of being harassed.
