Police Log: Injured Milk Delivery Driver, Teen Party

The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

In the weekend edition of the Milford police log, officers responded to several noise complaints, and to a report of a large teen party. Officers also helped an injured rabbit, which was transferred to Tufts Animal Hospital.

Thursday, Feb. 23

4:23 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Main at Winter streets. No injuries resulted.

5:50 p.m.: A caller asked police to remove a person from Milford Family Dental where he was causing a disturbance. Officers advised him he was no longer welcome on the site.

6:05 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Spring Street, police were seeking a summons to charge Maria Loja, 29, of 44 S. Main St., Milford, with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, child under 5 without a car seat and motor vehicle lights violation.

7:22 p.m.: After receiving a report of suspicious activity at police arrested Shaun A. Janson, 19, of 51 High St., Uxbridge, on three charges of larceny over $250, five charges of larceny under $250 and one count of breaking and entering a building at nighttime for felony. Police also arrested Derrick A. Rosenberger, 21, of 34 Inman St., Hopedale, on two counts of larceny over $250, five counts of larceny under $250, and breaking and entering a building at nighttime for felony.

10:07 p.m.: Police received a noise complaint about a house on Wildwood Drive, after a caller observed "a large amount of cars parked on Dogwood Lane." An officer reported that more than 50 juveniles were on the scene.

10:47 p.m.: Police responded to after receiving a report of a one-car crash with no injury. The car hit a brick wall. A tow truck removed the Jeep Cherokee.

Friday, Feb. 24

12:25 a.m.: A Hyndai was repossessed on Woodridge Road.

12:33 a.m.: A caller reported loud music coming from a Claudette Drive apartment.

7:18 a.m.: The Highway Department reported it was heading to Meade Street to pick up a restaurant table that had been dropped into someone's front yard.

8:24 a.m.: Milford firefighters responded to after receiving a report that the milk delivery vendor had fallen and was trapped beneath two full racks of milk. The extent of his injuries was unknown, but the delivery driver was taken to

9:44 a.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters to report harrassment.

10:48 a.m.: A caller told police a truck had knocked down wires on Blanchard Road.

11:53 a.m.: Police and firefighters responded to a two-car crash near . No injuries were reported.

1:08 p.m.: A caller told police a woman customer had passed out near the entrance to . The woman refused medical treatment.

1:45 p.m.: A caller told police a man in the parkng lot of was harassing an elderly woman.

5:49 p.m.: Police received multiple calls reporting a possible domestic incident on East Main Street. No arrests were reported.

5:52 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on Main Street at Altieri Court. After an investigation, police were seeking a summons to charge Adilson V. Galdino, 37, of 17 Sumner St., Apt. 3, Milford, with operating a motor vehicle with licensed revoked as a habitual traffic offender.

10:16 p.m.: Police arrested Edward J. McCann, 47, of 169 West St., Apt. 2, Milford, on a warrant.

11:20 p.m.: Police responded to Walker Avenue Extension after receiving a report that a dozen youths were walking up and down the street. The youths were gone when police arrived.

Saturday, Feb. 25

12:13 a.m.: A person walked in to police headquarters and asked police to help remove an unwanted person from Franklin Street. The person was gone when police arrived.

1:16 a.m.: A caller told police a driver had just dropped off her 16-year-old, intoxicated. Police could not locate the vehicle.

1:29 a.m.: An officer responded to Cedar Street at Columbus Avenue to help "an injured rabbit cross the road."

3:51 a.m.: Police received a report of suspicious activity at Officers determined the vehicle was occupied by the building owner.

4:47 a.m.: An officer reported to Columbus Avenue to retrieve the injured rabbit and was helping in transferring it to Tufts Animal Hospital.

5:51 a.m.: A caller reported that music and partying had been "going on all night" at an apartment on Oliver Street.

2:32 p.m.: Police responded to Hannaford, where a person was detained by a loss prevention employee for attempting to steal baby formula. Police were seeking a summons to charge Gregory V. Dagnese, 33, of 4 Ackerly, Milford, with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

8:38 p.m.: Police received a noise complaint about music on Spruce Street.

9:30 p.m.: Police returned to Spruce Street, after receiving a complaint that the music was back on. An officer found all was quiet when he arrived.

10:56 p.m.: A caller on Woodridge Road said someone in a white SUV drove up on her lawn and struck her granite mailbox, then drove off. Police could not locate the vehicle.

Sunday, Feb. 26

12:16 a.m.: Police received a noise complaint about an address on Purchase Street near

12:18 a.m.: Police received a call about loud music coming from an apartment on Congress Street.

12:25 a.m.: Police received a complaint about noise on Greenleaf Terrace.

1:17 a.m.: A caller complained a loud party was going on on Purchase Street. Police spoke to the partiers, who said they would keep it down.

9:01 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street, police arrested Segundo Antonio Zaruma, 26, of 29 Franklin St., Apt. 1, Milford, on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and nontransparent/obstructed window.

1:19 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on East Main Street, near. No injuries resulted.
