Police Log: Illegal Dumping, Noise Complaints

The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Milford police responded to numerous noise complaints, and to a report of someone dumping trash behind the Salvation Army headquarters.

Sunday, Feb. 26

4:54 p.m.: Police received a report that a vehicle had dumped "a lot of trash" behind the . Police responded but were unable to locate the suspect's vehicle.

5:14 p.m.: A noise complaint came in to police about a Spruce Street addresss that had been making noise all weekend.

5:40 p.m.: A man told police a GMC Sierra had almost run his wife off the road on Purchase Street, and almost hit another car head-on. Police pulled over the driver and spoke to him.

6:03 p.m.: About six youths were removed from the new football field at

8:26 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on East Main at Beach streets, police were seeking a summons to charge Cheryl A. Butler, 42, of 7 Princess Pine Ln., Milford, with operating a motor vehicle with revoked registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

10:32 p.m.: Police received a complaint of loud music coming from an apartment on Main Street. Officers spoke to the noise-maker.

Monday, Feb. 27

12:12 a.m.: Police responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated person behind The man was gone when they arrived.

1:05 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street, near the police arrested Nicholas Moe, 22, of 14 Maple St., Hopedale, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense.

7:54 a.m.: Police received a report of vandalism at where a van was reportedly vandalized over the weekend. Police filed a report.

1:47 p.m.: A man called police to report he had found "multiple car stereos" in a condo he had just purchased on Jefferson Street.
