Police Log: Icy Roads and Sidewalks, Slashed Tires

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Dec. 15

6:22 p.m.: A  caller reported icy conditions on Cormier Circle. Police contacted the state DOT, who said they planned to come back out at 4 a.m. but would try to find another crew that could come earlier.

7:43 p.m.: A crash was reported on Highland Street at Annie J. Circle. An officer reported a dark colored SUV had struck the guard rail. The Highway Department responded to sand. The vehicle was towed.

9:07 p.m.: A caller on Colonial Road said her boyfriend's brother was making threats to her. She was locked inside a room, while he was on the other side of the door. Police responded, but the male had left.

10:17 p.m.: Hopedale Police reported a man on Emmons Street had threatened a resident of that town, and requested Milford assistance.

10:26 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and reported that her boyfriend had struck her and tried to strangle her. The incident happened in Medway. Police notified that department.

Monday, Dec. 16

7:55 a.m.: A crossing guard at West Walnut and Congress streets reported that sidewalks were icy in the Stacy Middle, and Memorial ES area. The Highway Department was contacted.

8:18 a.m.: A man from a Milford taxi company said he was being harassed by a potential customer.

11:20 a.m.: Milford firefighters assisted Bellingham Fire Department with a car fire on I-495.

3:01 p.m.: A woman who walked in to police headquarters said her tires were slashed on Central Street.
