Police Log: Highway Dept. Responds to Potholes, Fight Reported at Pinz

Friday, Feb. 21

At 1:08 a.m., Milford police responded to 7-Eleven on Main Street after receiving a report of two males and one female placing items into their pockets while in the store. The three were reportedly seen leaving the store and entered a minivan. Upon further investigation officers determined that the case was inconclusive. 

At 7:44 a.m., police responded to a report of a car accident in the area of Cedar Street and Fortune Boulevard. Two cars were involved and no injuries were repotted, according to police records. 

At 11:23 a.m., an individual entered the Milord Police Department to report a theft. 

At 11:23 a.m., police received a report of a vehicle that was allegedly struck by another vehicle, the driver of which had become aggressive and began yelling at the other individual, according to police records. 

At 12:07 p.m., police received a report from a business on National Street that an employee who was let go had made threatening calls to the business. 

At 12:15 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident near AutoZone on Main Street involving a green Honda and a white Toyota. 

At 2:22 p.m., police and fire crews responded to Zain Circle after receiving a report of a fire in a wood-framed building. The home was temporarily evacuated after reports of smoke coming out of a clothes dryer. Crews investigated and found no active fire at the home. 

At 5:21 p.m., an individual entered the Milford Police Department and reported that someone had stolen checks from his company. 

At 8:25 p.m., police coordinated with the Milford Highway Department regarding potholes at the following locations: Dilla Street, Fountain Street near Rosenfeld Park, South Main Street, Fountain Street and Divittorio Drive, Sumner Street at O'Donnell Electric. 

At 10:17 p.m., police responded to Madden Avenue after receiving a report of a dark sedan parked in the front of a residence there. Upon arrival, police discovered that the vehicle was parked illegally on the road. 

Saturday, Feb. 22

At 2:12 a.m., police responded to Pinz Entertainment on South Main Street after receiving a report of a fight outside of the building involving an unknown number of individuals; one person was reported to have a head injury as a result. 

At 3:40 a.m., police responded to Cedar Street on a report of a grey Nissan that had driven off the road; no injuries were reported. 

At 12:40 p.m., police received a report from a Wayne Road resident who claimed that a vehicle had been parked in the driveway with one man wearing jeans and a brownish plaid sweatshirt walking around the property before returning to the vehicle and driving off. 

At 12:52 p.m., police received a report of an accident in the area of East Main and Hayward streets resulting in damage to the rear of one vehicle. 

At 6:23 p.m., police received a report from a driver in the area of Dilla Street and Quinchapaug Road who claimed that he struck a pot hole, resulting in his tire being popped. 

At 11:19 p.m., police responded to West Walnut Street after receiving a report of a suspicious gray Toyota sedan parked in front of a residence with one person reportedly inside.
