Police Log: Fire Crews Extinguish Porch Fire on Stallbrook Road

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Tuesday, May 13

At 6:43 a.m., the Milford Fire Department responded to a report of a porch fire on Stallbrook Road. Upon arrival, Ladder 1 reported heavy fire coming from the porch and struck a box for a working structure fire. Hopkinton fire crews responded to the scene, and the Hopedale Fire Department responded to assist with station coverage in Milford. The fire was subsequently knocked down; no injuries were reported, according to police and fire records. 

At 7:11 a.m., police received a report of a suspicious black bag in the area of Dartmouth Drive and Asylum Street. Police responded and found that the item was actually a TV that property owners were giving away.

At 8:12 a.m., police received a report of an erratic driver in the area of Secure Self Storage on East Main Street. A driver reportedly tried to pass a female in the area. 

At 9:48 a.m, police received a report from Community Ambulance that one of the company's ambulances had been involved in a minor motor vehicle accident.

At 12:22 p.m., police received a report that a male party in a silver Chevrolet used a stolen credit card at Honey Dew Donuts. 

At 2:30 p.m., police received a report that a leaf blower was stolen from a yard on Hancock Street.

At 3:59 p.m., police received a report that a dog was barking loudly on Lawrence Street. Officers responded and found no dog at the address in question. 

At 10:59 p.m., police pulled a vehicle over in the area of Main and Sumner streets, where they arrested Luis Clavijo, 33, of Milford, for operating under the influence of liquor, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, a marked lanes violation and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
