Police Log: Fighting Sisters, Car Hits Tree

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Oct. 21

5:09 p.m.: A caller reported the "Worcester Room" was on fire at Doubleetree by Hilton Hotel. Firefighters resported it was a cooking fire, and they ventilated the room. An electrical inspector was asked to respond to the scene.

5:55 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Claflin Street, police were seeking a summons to charge Slomao Silva, 32, of 50 Grove St., Apt. 2, Milford, with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

6:15 p.m.: A caller told police kids on dirt bikes were riding up and down Farese Road. They were using his driveway to turn around and causing damage. Police could not locate the kids.

8:03 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Purchase Street, at Ariel Circle, police were seeking a summons to charge Maranllelin Gonzalez, 25, of 4 Cedar St., Apt. 1, Milford, with operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

8:24 p.m.: A caller asked police to check on the welfare of his friend, who had made statements that she was going to hurt herself. Police located her at a Milford address, and checked, and she was fine.

9:28 p.m.: Police responded to a Milford address, where State Police had transferred a call about a domestic. Police asked for an ambulance to take a teen to the hospital for a mental evaluation.

9:54 p.m.: Loud music was reported to be coming from an address on Congress Street.

10:47 p.m.: A woman told police her boyfriend was following her around Tedeschi. The woman was taken to her home by police, after she obtained an emergency restraining order.

Monday, Oct. 22

12:38 a.m.: A 13-year-old girl called police to report her two sisters were fighting. Police responded and determined it was a verbal argument. One sister left the residence for the night. Police took possession of a baseball bat.

9:07 a.m.: A woman reported a man was laying on the ground in the Milford Square parking lot, possibly having a seizure. The man was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

10:12 a.m.: A car was reported to have struck a tree on Green Street. The woman got out of the car on her own, but was bleeding. Ambulance and firefighters responded. National Grid was notified that a pole was hit.

12:45 p.m.: An officer assigned to Milford High School reported two boys had taken off from him at that location. Two other officers were dispatched to assist.

3:02 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on East Main Street, police arrested Maurilio Campos, 29, of 182 E. Main St., Apt. 2, Milford, on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation.

3:56 p.m.: A caller at Milford Town Hall reported a vehicle had hit a house as it was taking the corner.
