Police Log: Elderly Woman in Wheelchair Heading onto I-495

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Aug. 9

5:29 p.m.: A man told police a package was never delivered to his house, on South Bow Street. The delivery took place while the officer was at the address.

6:54 p.m.: A man and a woman in the police station lobby reported their laptop and two sleeping bags were stolen from the quarries.

8:10 p.m.: A caller on Overlea Avenue reported a wheelchair was abandoned in the area.

11:13 p.m.: A caller reported a party making noise on Hayward Street. Police found people having dinner, and no noise.

11:48 p.m.: State Police reported they received a call about an elderly woman heading up the Exit 20 on ramp, heading southbound, in a power wheel chair. The State Police asked Milford assistance because they had no troopers in that area. Police responded but could not locate the woman.

Saturday, Aug. 10

3:22 a.m.: A caller reported a domestic on Maher Court. Police arrested Danielle Nicole Sullivan, 23, of 157 Providence St., Apt. 3rd floor, Worcester, on charges of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

9:34 a.m.: A caller said she was being harassed by a man in her apartment building. An officer responded to speak to the man.

11:44 a.m.: A caller said an intoxicated man was going in and out of Sally's Beauty. An officer responded, but the man had gone home with his girlfriend.

12:50 p.m.: A caller at the Tradesman said he had seen a man who was intoxicated, and walking up the road, so brought him to that location, but he could not get a cab for him. Police responded and gave the man a ride home to the Hopedale line.

3:25 p.m.: A caller on Fayette Street reported that while he was fixing a leak in his roof he found a small razor blade and what looked like an attempt to cut a hole in the roof. The caller requested extra patrols in the area.

3:46 p.m.: A hit and run was reported at Staples. Police are seeking a summons to charge Adedoia Aremu, 33, of 50 Briarwood Lane, Apt. 1, Marlborough, with leaving the scene of property damage and failure to notify the RMV of a name or address change.

5:19 p.m.: A caller reported a crying baby on Senate Road. Police checked and the baby was OK.

7:05 p.m.: Staff at Dunkin' Donuts on South Main Street asked police to remove youths who were loitering.

8:35 p.m.: A caller reported she and her boyfriend had just returned home and a group of teenagers ran from their backyard. Nothing was taken, but the tarp on a lawnmower had been removed.

8:58 p.m.: A caller said a man was physically assaulting a woman on Granite Street at Sumner Street. An officer found no domestic on arrival, the disturbance had broken up.

10:15 p.m.: A caller reported a white Ford van backed into him at Senate Road, then took off.

10:37 p.m.: A caller on School Street said a car was all over the road, and had run a red light. Police arrested  Luis Loja Tene, 35, of 11 Senate Road, Apt. C, Milford, on charges of failure to keep to the right for oncoming motor vehicles, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, OUI liquor, second offense and possessing an open container of alcohol in the motor vehicle.

Sunday, Aug. 11

12:08 a.m.: A woman said her husband was highly intoxicated, and asked police to remove him from the house.

4:31 a.m.: A caller on North Terrace said she could hear people walking in her backyard. Police checked and everything was OK.

2:07 p.m.: A caller on Fruit Street said she could see a man in his late 20s to 30s wearing gym shorts, and no shirt, walking a black and white Shitzu and carrying a black gun. He was heading toward South Main Street. Police checked Fruit Street and Depot and Main Streets and could not find him.

3:08 p.m.: A caller said he saw a man push a woman on the ground near Wendy's on Cedar Street. Police responded but the couple had left.

4:33 p.m.: A caller asked police to respond because her daughter had left the home intoxicated. The 16-year-old was wearing shorts and a grey shirt. An officer found the teen and escorted her home.
