Police Log: Driver Parks in Cross Walk at Library, Credit Card Fraud at Best Buy

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Monday, Feb. 3

At 11:55 a.m., Milford police responded to an accident on Walnut Street, where they issued a criminal summons to a 23-year-old Milford man for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. 

At 12:14 p.m. police received a report from a local resident who claimed his sleeping pills had been stolen. 

At 12:42 p.m., a Best Buy employee called police to report possible credit card fraud at the store involving two males who reportedly left in a cranberry-colored Toyota Corolla with yellow New York license plates. 

At 2:29 p.m., police received a report from a woman at the Milford Public Library on Spruce Street. There, the woman reported confronting a male party, who she believed to have parked in a cross walk in front of he building. The man allegedly claimed he did not park there, then walked outside where several witnesses said he was the man described as driving the vehicle. The man was described as being in his 20s, wearing a dark ball cap and jacket. 

At 6:24 p.m., police received a report from a local man who claimed jewelry had been stolen from his residence.
