Police Log: Driver Hits Three Parked Cars on Main Street

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Nov. 24

12:48 a.m.: A caller requested help for a 30-year-old woman who was highly intoxicated. Police arrived but the woman's husband said he would care for her, so rescue was cancelled.

9:58 a.m.: A man reported a house in the Draper Park area had trash outside that was blowing around into the park. Police attempted to contact the resident of the house where the trash belonged.

1:51 p.m.: A caller on Main Street near Commerce Bank reported a two-car crash involving a Honda Pilot and a parked car. Police arrived and determined the vehicle hit three parked cars. A tow truck was requested.

2:50 p.m.: Wires were reported down on Genoa Avenue, as a result of a tree in the road. National Grid was called. The Milford Highway Department handled the tree.

3:07 p.m.: A caller on Whitewood Road reported a tree fell in his yard. Police found it also pulled down wires. National Grid was notified.

3:26 p.m.: A caller on Eben Street said a tree was leaning on wires. An officer found it was a small tree, not a hazard, but will need to be addressed. The Milford Highway Department responded.

4:02 p.m.: A caller on South Main at Main Streets said a black pickup truck had hit his side mirror then fled. He was advised to stop following the vehicle, and go back to the location of the crash because police already had the license plate number.

5:10 p.m.: A caller on Fruit Street said wires were down in front of her house. Police reported it was no hazard, just casing for a telephone wire.

5:52 p.m.: Upton Police asked for Milford help in shutting down West Street at Fiske Mill Road due to a crash in their town on Route 140.

6:33 p.m.: A caller on Pheasant Circle reported a lot of yelling and swearing coming from the location. Police responded and found two people having a loud discussion.

8:41 p.m.: A caller on Congress Street reported a two-car crash. A second caller said the other vehicle took off from the scene, heading toward Silver Hill Road. It was a white pickup truck. Police found property damage at a home on Congress Street. Police will be seeking a court summons to charge Jeffrey P. Kinnane, 54, of 42 Haven St., Milford, with leaving the scene of property damage.

Monday, Nov. 25

12:22 p.m.: A caller at Doubletree by Hilton Hotel reported a hit and run crash, with no injury, in the front of the hotel.

12:44 p.m.: Milford Regional Medical Center emergency room requested two officers.

1:19 p.m.: Firefighters responded to Milford High School for a broken steam pipe.
