Police Log: Crash Involving Milford Fire Department SUV

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Jan. 8

7:48 p.m.: A caller reported a cat was hurt at East Main Street, near Imperial Municipal Partners. An officer removed the dead cat to the side of the road. The Milford Animal Control officer was contacted.

Thursday, Jan. 9

12:02 a.m.: A disturbance was reported on Pheasant Circle. A caller said she wanted her friend removed from her home. She said he was threatening her. Police responded, and took two people to La Quinta Inn.

5:55 a.m.: A man said he wanted to turn himself into police for "various crimes that he has committed." Police spoke to him.

9:36 a.m.: Vandalism was reported on Fairfield Court.

10:06 a.m.: A theft was reported at Milford High School.

11:38 a.m.: A theft was reported on West Street. A package and envelope were stolen off a front porch, a resident said. Police reported the items were later located.

3:02 p.m.: A caller on Joseph Road reported a man was on her property, and claimed to be working for another residence, inserting steel spikes into the driveway. Police responded. The company was a surveyor.

4:39 p.m.: Firefighters responded to Milford Regional Medical Center for a reported fire. The fire was contained to a fire pit, near the ambulance bay.

8:59 p.m.: A disturbance was reported on Shadowbrook Lane. A man said his neighbor is yelling, and it's been a consistent problem. Police talked to the man causing the disturbance.

Friday, Jan. 10

9:00 a.m.: A Milford Fire Department Lieutenant reported he had just been involved in a three-car crash at Medway Road and Birch Street. Police and firefighters responded. According to a Milford Police tweet, Lt. Mark Nelson was not injured, although the fire command SUV he was driving was damaged. The crash is under investigation by the Central Massachusetts Accident Reconstruction team, according to the police log.
